In order to use AF-ON/AF-C for back button focus you need to detach the focus action from the shutter button. In the menu here: https://fujifilm-dsc.com/en/manual/x-s20/menu_setup/button-dial_setting/#shutter_af Once the focus action is detached from the shutter button then AF-ON controls focus.

Hello everyone, I recently bought my first Fuji camera. Could you please enlighten me on a point I don't seem to have understood? Concerning the back button focus, i.e. the AF-ON button. I don't seem to be able to do what the videos explain: use the button for AF-C by holding it down, or for AF-S by pressing briefly and then releasing. In my case, if I hold down the button, AF-C works fine. But if I press just once, nothing happens, apart from a short activation of AF-C as if I were going to keep pressing. I've changed the option in my key settings, but both actions produce the same effect. Have I misunderstood something, or do Fujifilm cameras simply not allow this? Forgive me if this isn't very clear 😅 -

Thank you for the suggestion. The memorycards are pretty new but I can try a different kind.
