Focus Problem in new firmware update of xH2s

Version 7 firmware of XH2S still loses focus on active tracking or even using the single-point focus. Please do fix it, it becoming a burden to me when doing events. I tend to look closely if the subject is in focus rather than composting my shots well

Agree - I also think the problem where the camera focuses on the nearest point rather than the eye of an animal (when using subject detection) hasn't been fixed.

Fuji is so silent on this issue. We, users, don't even get an assurance from them to finally resolve the issue. I think the best firmware they had is still the xh2s version 1.03 I hope Fuji firmware developers review that

Are there any news on this?

 

I went birdshooting yesterday and the focus hit ratio for birds in flight sequences at 40fps was... almost 10%!!!

 

I am selling x-h2s + XF150-600 and keeping my 2019's sony a9 if this isn't fixed, even if the a9+200-600 setup is 600g heavier.

FujiRumors posted recently that the company have acknowledged issues with the firmware (AF in particular) and they are working on a new version. No more detail or likely release date though.
