Good way to use silica packets?

Hi, folks. I picked up some silica packets when I got my camera, because it can be humid where I live. I only have the XT5 and two Fujicrons. My question is: Where is a practical place to store my equipment where the silica will actually do some good?

**I’m strictly a hobbyist and don’t anticipate owning a large collection of lenses. I’d prefer to not need another piece of storage equipment. The whole thing right now — all three items — live in a small Wotancraft bag that I’m very happy with. Is there any point to just having the silica packs in the camera bag? I have been assuming that putting them into something porous such as the camera bag would basically be a waste. To be effective, do they need to be placed with the equipment in something air tight?

You may have to dehydrate the silica packets in an oven more often, but they will help reduce humidity even in a porous bag. Even in the desert I use silicone gel in canisters, which may be more durable and safer to heat to 250F/120C for 3 hours to dehydrate them.

      Hi everyone 👋  On my XS-20 I'm trying to record video on manual mode as I want to have control over shutter speed and aperture. I have my ISO set to automatic but I can't figure out how can I change the exposure and set it to what I want and let auto ISO adjust to it.   For now the only way for me to change exposure is to change manually one of the "golden trio" settings but I want that auto ISO to be the one doing it. But for that I need my exposure to be changeable somehow but can't figure out how. Is that even doable?   Thanks a mil for any advice   PROBLEM SOLVED    sorry guys I just figured it out 😅 all I had to do is to assign one of my other knobs to change the expouse and that was it.
