Why can't I save custom settings to a memory card?

Hello. I am surprised to find out that custom settings can only be saved and loaded using an app or software on the PC. Why can't I save the settings to a memory card and switch between them in seconds? Is this the flagship of the industry? I hope this is an easily solvable problem for Fujifilm engineers and they will solve it in upcoming firmware, or even better to have not 7 slots for custom settings but 70. )

You can! You can save up to 7 custom settings,  and you can assign a function button to cycle through them. Look out for YouTube videos on this. Or you can try and read the awful manual. The reason I don't give you the instructions here is that I don't use custom settings myself. Hopefully someone will chip in with the exact instructions.

Bob - I think the OP's problem is that you can't save those settings to a SD card in the camera. Its a problem that others have noted - although Fujifilm are moving in the right direction by recently adding the capability to the mobile phone app.

You're right, Bob misunderstood me. ) Of course I know how to use "custom settings", you don't even need a manual for that. I have 5 sets of 8 "custom settings" each, for a total of 40 "custom settings". I need to load one set or another quickly. I can't do that without an app or software on my PC. This is very frustrating. (( The "custom settings" should be saved to a memory card so that there is no need for a PC app or software. I think it's very easy for Fujifilm developers to program this.

There was another question about custom settings. Is it possible to transfer the settings saved on the PC to the smartphone? I guess I need some kind of converter from PC to Android. And there's a problem here too, I couldn't find the saved settings files on my smartphone. )) Fujifilm needs to simplify such processes, and there is a lot to work on. )

No I don't think this is possible - it would be useful if there was a common published format (perhaps xml) so the settings were easily accessible, readable and transferable - but currently they are none of these things
