I purchased a Nissin i40 speed light because I read that it had high speed sync capabilities with the XPro2. After hours of frustration thinking I did something wrong, I discovered that indeed the HSS capability is indeed broken after firmware update 2.0.1. Apparently the Nissin is not the only casualty and I have to say that it appears Fuji may have intentionally broken the capability to force users to buy the more expensive x500. While I hope this is not true it appears so. I'm posting this to allow others to vent their frustrations and hopefully arrive a a resolution that doesn't involve buying more equipment.

BTW. I also have a x70 that works perfectly with the Nissin.

Thanks for you help in resolving this

The nissin i40 works fine with the X-T10, X-E2s

With the X-Pro 2 with firmware 2.0 the i40 did not fire at all, after upgrading to 2.01 I tested the i40 with TTL only (which worked fine)

The X-Pro 2 is the camera used by my Father so I do not have it to hand to test with HSS.

I will try to test over the next few days and will report back (unless someone has done it sooner)

I had a quick try today and could not make HSS work on x-pro 2, i did not jump into menus or change any camera settings from default as did not have time.

I'll be interested in finding out if anyone has made HSS work on the i40 and an x-pro2 or X-T2
