The Last Kaizen:

Imagine Fuji would, for a last time, release a Firmware update for older X-series cameras (X-PRO1, X-E1, X-E2, X20, X100S, X-M1 & Co) that will bring 2 new features. Which one would you like to get?

Please choose just 2 New Firmware features, not more!

The last camera in which I saw the linkage to AF point was, if I am not mistaken, Canon EOS 30 (not the digital one) - I just loved that camera, and one of the big reasons was that people faces were perfectly exposed, no matter what the conditions - sunlight, backlight, candid - whatever.

To me it seems very odd that: a.) most cameras don't have that and b.) that most photographers rather pre-focus, pre-measure and then recompose (risking losing the moment and, possibly, focus as well).

The only FW features I would want is the electronic shutter so we can all use f/1.2 in bright light and an improvement in auto focus so its up to current spec of other cameras. Some people think Fuji won't upgrade the EX2 to match XT performance because it will cut into sales...well as a user of both, one does not replace the other when it comes to shooting experience. Fiji's line up will be similar to how Nikon and Canon set up their line: Pro Body camera (XT and Pro1-2 >>>pro/enthusiast camera (XT10 and XE2)>>>> enthusiast camera.

Yes spot metering in focus point would be great, also some way to batch process pictures in camera, or at least to remember the last setting to apply on further pictures, it makes me mad

As far as I know the X-T1 has linked focus point and spot metering... It was in the version 3 update.

Yeah found it - its under menu 5, interlock spot AE & focus area

Ah good, maybe I'll get one once the price drops and keep the x-e1 + 27 for daily casual shots or not so safe environments, I was referring to the x-e1, I'd prefer to see such things that enhance / correct basic functions implemented than new thingies like CC or electronic shutter (we don't even really know if it's doable and some stuff still need fixing or enhancing before adding functions)

For XE-2, please improve on this 2 quirks:

- When using "EVF only + OC sensor" view mode, enable to display the image on the LCD screen when "play" button is pressed instead of displaying it in the EVF.

- Allow the possibility to use the four-key arrow to change the focus point selection directly (one command) instead of actual two-action pressing "AF button" (down-key arrow) + select.

It would be nice to add:

1. In "spot metering" mode, link the spot to the AF point.

2. Allow the possibility to use the "dial compensation" ring as an "ISO" ring selector.

Also would be nice the addition of AF speed and accuracy of XT-1 / XT-10 (or as close as hardware allows it).

this would have been a nice feature if it had been added for FW 4.00 on X-E2. It'd be nice if a minor update added this functionality, would almost be like the joystick on the X-PRO2.

For my X-Pro 1/X10 ... intervalometer and renameable custom settings

And I'd like the TCs to work with all XF/XC lenses.

    • Because the sensor assembly is moved electrmagnetically. When there is no power it is essentially free moving.
    • Hi everyone I have a problem while using my xpro3 and strobes, from a day to an other I started to have a black shade on the side of my ID photos so it's kind of problematic. It's like if the speed is to high except it happened even at 1/30s. And the shutter speed seems accurate with ambiant light so I'm a bit disturbed about all of this.   Anyone has an idea about that case ?

This is the equivalent of 43 minutes, 40 seconds of exposure. NGC 1502 is a neat little cluster located in the Camelopardalis Constellation. This region of space was thought to be fairly empty by early astronomers, but as you can see, there is a lot there. Kemble's Cascade (a.k.a. Kemble 1) is named for Father Lucian Kemble, a Canadian Franciscan friar who wrote about it to Walter Scott Houston, an author for the Sky And Telescope magazine. Houston named the asterism for Fr. Kemble and the name "stuck". NGC 1501 is the Oyster Nebula. A longer focal length telescope is needed to bring this one into good viewing range, but it is well worth the effort.
