XT5 / XF150mm-600mm Issue

Hey guys,

I'm hoping you might be able to help me with an issue. Full disclosure, I'm a pure amateur hobbyist photographer so I might have trouble describing this issue perfectly.

I love my my XT5 and 150-600mm lens but occasionally I have an issue where when I try to focus on something using the autofocus, the screen and viewfinder will flash on and off and the lens will make faint clicking sounds. After around 10 to 20 seconds the image on the view finder will stop flashing on and off and I can use my camera again, so this issue isn't stopping me from using my camera but it does cause me to miss the occasional time sensitive picture. This issue does not occur when I use my 16-80mm lens.

I have no idea what causes this to happen or how to troubleshoot it. I was hoping this might be something I could attempt to fix myself before reaching out to Fuji as I don't want to be without my lens for a few weeks.

I too, have been having this exact same problem with my x-t5.  I'm wondering if you ever found a solution, or is it a faulty lens?
