Card error messages

Despite fitting two new Sd cards in my Fuji xh1 still getting  card error messages

I assume you have formatted both cards in the camera. Try that again anyway. You may have a faulty card, even though it is new. Do you have some alternative cards, or can borrow some? What does the error message say?

Just had similar problem. Slot 2 says "card error" whatever card I put in, cards will work fine in slot 1, but slot 2 says card error, even with different cards.
