Hi! Currently, I have an X-T3 but since getting an X100v and using its built-in Classic Neg film sim which simulated near identical film-like emulations from the 80s and 90s, I'm contemplating on selling/trading-in of my X-T3 for an X-T30ii. Why?

***So the two main reasons why I may plunge for the X-T30ii would be:

#1 Classic Negative Film Sim
#2 More compact form factor
NOTE: I know that you can incorporate Classic Neg on XT3 raw files either thru Capture One's or Lightroom's Fuji Color Profiles but it just doesn't render the same color palette coming from XTrans4 processors from bodies 2019 and up.

***What's holding me back in biting the bullet? Even though today I can sell the X-T3 at its price when I bought it new due to the demand:

#1--My XT3 had been virtually trouble-free. Except for very rare instances that it froze (2-3x), it didn't give me problems. Version 1 X-T30's were known to have the so-called failure of the front dial command over time AND who can ever forget, that Q button position which irritated many. I also read from a Facebook group that XT30 mk1 and mk2 units may have rubber peeling issues over time.

#2--XT3's weather sealing built. Even though I don't live in harsh environments, weather sealing is vital (though overrated for some) so that I wouldn't have to think about it should I travel abroad and be subjected to windy, dusty environments. Also, I don't have any clue as to what extent the XT30ii's robustness is. Maybe someone can help me here by commenting. Also, would all my lenses being weather sealed be helpful given XT30ii being non-WR?

#3--Value. For certain, the X-T3 holds more value than the X-T30ii since it's a higher tier model. Performance-wise, it's also better in low light (as reviewers are claiming). Also, the resale value could be higher over time.

***I just do street, travel, food, family documentary images.

***Also, I think I can sell the X-T3 at the same price I bought it over two years ago which will cover the price of a brand new X-T30ii in case.

***Since I received my X100v, I'm finding the XT3 being used much less so "maybe" using a more compact body and having that classic neg film sim may motivate me more.

***Hoping I could get the community's thoughts on this matter as I don't want to feel regretful whatever decision I make. Thank you.

    • My XS10 came with a Capture One license but my PC at the time would barely run it so I stuck with my ancient version of Picasa.  Bought a new PC and my old Capture One has been deprecated and fuji site only talks about a 3 month trial.  Is there a work around or should I be looking for something else?
    • I have the Fuji 80 mm macro and really like it. It's very sharp and I use it for macro but also for general photography. If you find yourself zoomed to 55, this may land in the right spot. Also, this lens is very good with magnification distortion (pincushion or barrel), which is probably important if you're doing product photography and the product has straight lines. It is autofocus. I hear you don't prioritize that, but there's something else you gain when you have autofocus. You can combine multiple photos taken at slightly different focus distances, using stacking software, and autofocus lets the camera automate the process of taking all these, using focus bracketing. It even calculates how much the focus should change between these exposures. This lens, new, is above your stated budget. Maybe you can find it used? In any case, options are always nice to have, and others may like this option too. So, just a thought. One more thing: I've never used the Laowa macro you mention, but I do have their circular fisheye. I love circular fisheyes, and also have two other brands, and comparing them I find the Laowa is considerably better than the other two. That's a vote for Laowa.
    • I thought it is due to display issue but it is in the photo and video also. The officials are demanding very high to change the sensor, but I don't have that much money.   https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zkmUyANonXejeX1e20YTsH8geGDdDBLc
    • Hello all! New here, longtime Fuji shooter.  I currently use an X-T3 for product photography, and I'm looking to add a genuine macro lens to my arsenal. I primarily shoot computer equipment like keyboards, mice and the like. I find myself using the 18-55mm kit lens at full zoom, since my other lenses are either too wide or can't focus close enough for my needs. I've been doing some research on macro lenses for the X-mount system, and am really drawn to the Laowa 65mm f/2.8 "Ultra Macro" after testing one at a local shop, since I'd be able to focus as close as I'll ever need with it. Since I photograph entirely static items, having autofocus really isn't a priority for me, and I'd rather save both money and weight with a manual-focus lens.  I'm wondering, though, if there are any other options that fit my use case, or if anyone's had serious issues with this lens? I tried adapting a few of my Canon FD lenses in the past, but they were a bit hazy and got some weird distortion/chromatic abberation, so I'd rather stick with something relatively new instead of gambling on older glass. However, I am open to buying used if there's a really good deal. My budget tops out around $500, and I'm located in the U.S. Thanks in advance!
    • If weight and size are the main issues, I would say the new XE-5 is the camera for you. I don't entirely agree with the idea that such a camera is too small for long lenses. The assembly is supported with the left hand (assuming you are right handed) under the lens at the point of balance.
