My X-Pro2 Review.

Recommended Posts

My final post for 2017.

Typical fare I guess.... A TINY look at Fujifilm from 2017, the latest FW and my own thoughts about the previous year and some hopes for the next!

If we don't have speak before, and if applicable of course - have a great time tonight

Cheers

Trying something a little bit different this week (and next), after all it's not just the cameras we use and the pictures we take, it's what we do with those images too!

Facebook Vs Instagram Vs Flickr: Part One. So many places to place our images, but what are the pros and cons of the ones I (and most likely you) use?

Hopefully you've enjoyed the past three articles that have been quite opinion based and text filled?

But for this week (and next) I think it's time to get back to the pictures!

The X-Pro range are capable cameras, but if there's one thing I personally love to shoot with them, it's street

Excellent series Adam. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I'm enjoing my X100F very much. I wish Fuji will improve AF in their medium format. I wish to see Fuji medium format in Xpro or X100 body style. Current GFX body style doesn't attract me much, plus AF is quite not ready.

Until then, my Sony A9 and fast primes still my main low light gig.

Thank you very much :)

I THINK there was a rumour about a medium format x100 type of camera, but we'll have to see.

I suspect we might be a generation or two away from using the words 'medium format' and 'fast auto focus' in the same sentence

I salute you for doing these detailed comparisions and articles about the X-Pro series. Wish you used bigger pics when you showed examples though.

I kinda miss my X-Pro1. I love my X-T2 but I kinda miss the form factor or something with the X-Pro1. Not sure what it is or if I'm just tripping out :)

Thanks very much

WordPress are not generous with their size quota, and I already spend time and money making all this happen.

I’m not much a pixel peeper either!

This week's article.

The X-Pro 1 and 2 Images Compared: Part Three. What is it that I'm trying to achieve with this?

Some of you have had questions and comments about what exactly it is that I'm trying to achieve and why.

Good questions!

So here are my answers - I hope you enjoy the read folks

Blue Jays are tricky to get good photos like you have, they tend to fly away as soon as the lens cap comes off 😀.
    • I own the Fuji X-T1 and X-H1. I own several Fuji lenses but I tend to use 3rd party vintage manual glass which I find quite enjoyable to use. I'm testing a photo here taken from my Flickr account that showcases the Tokina 100-300mm Zoom lens with 1.4 extender. • Forgot to mention another thing. Mine does not work if I plug the USB cord into a USB hub. It only works if I plug the cord into one of the USB ports on my computer itself (an iMac). This surprises me because I think there's a hub built into the computer itself, which is how the computer has multiple USB ports in the first place. I think it was somebody here that suggested I try that -- sorry I don't remember who!
    • On another forum someone suggested spraying some electrical contact cleaner into the wheel but the Fuji tech said that could risk frying the rest of the cameras electrical so I haven't tried that.
    • I have an x100VI with 1.01 firmware - did a reset already and didnt solve issue I am about to describe. Can you all see if your camera does this: Switch to C mode, step down to f16 and then press shutter half way. Does your screen go dark? I have tried playing will all settings (have had the following so quite familiar with the menus: x100, x100f, XT-2, X-Pro 2, XT-3) , only happens in C mode. If you find this can you report to Fuji @ digitalinfo@fujifilm.com. They told me they had not seen this before and that it was normal behavior because the shutter is closing, but the shutter closes in S mode as well.
