Drive mode dial not smooth

I purchased my XT-5 a while ago and this is my first Fujifilm camera so I'm not sure if this is normal. The drive mode switch does not seem to operate as smoothly as the photo/video switch. I can change photo/video mode easily with my index finger but changing the drive mode is much more difficult, almost as if the  switch is stuck at times. When it finally moves it almost always overshoots the position I want because of the initial force I needed to apply. Overall, the movement is not smooth and I almost always end up turning in by pinching the switch between my index finder and thumb. This does not seem normal. I never really noticed it before because I started using different drive modes only recently I as learned more about the camera. I think it was like this from the day I bought it. The camera is clean and was never exposed to water or dirt. Any thoughts?

The problem is that if it is looser, as it was on my X-T3, it is too easy to change it accidentally. Fuji need to add a lock somehow.
