Peeling thumb grip rubber?

Have a new xpro 3 only a couple of weeks old and noticing that the right thumb area rubber seems to be held on rather weakly (the vertical rubber trim by the black and Q buttons). The edge starts peeling a bit if you graze your thumb along it while holding the camera body. Is there a fix to this? Also, is this a part of the cameras weather sealing, or is it just s stick-on piece of external rubber to help with grip?

On a new camera?  That's odd.  On my 11 year old xt1 (February 2012) it took about six years or so for the rubber to start peeling.  I just put a few drops of gorilla glue and here we are in 2023 and it's still on there.
