X-Pro3 LCD blanking

Hello. I just picked up a new X-Pro3 and there is something I can't work out.

When I flip the LCD down 90 degrees to use it as a waist-level finder, it frequently goes black, either immediately or after first dimming for a few seconds. It comes back on if I move the camera about.  Strangely, this only seems to happen when it is hand-held. If I place the camera on a stable surface like a table with the LCD in the same position, it stays on.

I have spent a while going through the menus looking for something relevant but without success. Is there some menu setting I need to change, or could there be something wrong with the camera?

It takes a bit of practice, but hold the camera a bit further away from your body. What’s happening is the viewfinder sensor located just to the right of the viewfinder is picking up your body thinking it’s your face and switching back to the viewfinder from the LCD.
