x100v viewfinder only working when the camera is vertical

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Today I recived my brand new x100v and after playing around with it a few hours I found that the eye sensor of the OVF only works when the camera is vertical.

If I try to take a picture with OVF when the camera is horizontal it wont work although if I start the shoting vertical and then switch to horizontal while the OVF is still active and without separating my eye from the camera it will transitionate and work.

Some one knows why is this hapening?

I dont think the eye sensor is malfunctioning because when I put the camera vertical it works... maybe a setting that I need to change?

Also, I noticed that the camera does a lot of noise when turning on/off or when pressing the "play" button to see the gallery. Is it normal?

Thanks a lot.

Hello Olaf and thanks for the reply, unfortunately the eye sensor seems to be working fine when the camera is tilted vertically.

Also, what do you think about the noise the camera does when turning OFF/ON or when pressing the "play" button?

I know they are minor complaints, but the camera its brand new and I spent a ton of money... I just want everything to be alright.

I'll attach a short video to be more illustrative:.

Thanks a lot!
