I got one in a trade for a lens recently. Couldn't sell the Sigma macro lens for Nikon, so I took the trade. And am happy I did - It's a pretty fun camera.

The layout of the controls is pretty good. The buttons are a little hard to press - but you won't press them by accident!

Some recent shots from my first trip out with it:

One of the most useless threads I have ever seen. What is the message behind this thread?

But I could have been warned after reading the non-sense caption. Ppl, ur capation needs to have at least something to do with your message or question that you transport/have.

I guess this thread is a great example how not to post in such a forum. I feel like a troll, but I just had to write those lines.

However, have fun with your Fujifilm X-T1 and take some great pictures with it.

Don't know how much clearer it could be.  The caption is got myself an X-T1 and the subject of the post is about buying the X-T1.

Lighten up.

Welcome aboard Metalkoi.  Enjoy your new toy.

Sorry?

Are you sure you posted on the right forum?

At the TS; have fun with the camera! I think you bought it at a good time with all those discounts.

    • OK, they aren't real.  It's a shark exhibit at my local museum.   Very dark in there—I had to rate the ISO at 6400 and 8000. GFX100RF.

    • Well thank you all for you reactions, I haven´t found a lot of options to buy a used Mark I and the Mark II seemed expensive even though I´m sure its a very good lense. So I ended up getting the Sigma 17-40 which I have found for a reasonable deal and so far I am very very happy with it. Weight is good, size is definitely ok for me and I love the internal zoom and weather resistance. The sharpness is very good for my taste and the autofocus works awesomely fast for me. Plus the 1.8 is great to have, I really like that option and shoot wide open in a lot of instances.   So in combination with my 50-140 I have no a combination of lenses for concert photography that makes me very very happy currently.    So thats my update, not sure if its of any interest to anyone but I thought since I opened that thread I wanted to give it its due diligence.
    • Big congratulations! I think the XT-5 is a fine camera you can really sink your teeth into. I bought one recently. And I retired a couple years ago, revitalizing an old photography hobby like you. You have a great plan taking shape. It's amazing how much they packed into this camera, and it's amazing how many of the mundane challenges of photography years ago have been fixed or improved. I also bought "The Complete Guide to Fujifilm's X-T5 B&W Edition" and think it's a fantastic book, way way better than a few other books I tried. It's a big paperback and the author also lets you download a PDF version which is great for searching. I have had a blast with it. Happy hunting!!
