Oh My Gosh! Just received a GREAT RUMOR! Just a Hint for now... more soon!

it might be  something more radical but I wonder at what point they realize that they start actually competing with itself.

There are only so many poles that a fisherman can use before the number of lines in the pool actually gets too big that they are actually in the way of one another.

But I tell you this... we could need a New Camera Section (!!!) here on the Fuji X Forum!

I'm going to guess a compact. Something as successor to both x100 and x30.

Simply look at the actual Camera Sections...

Successors to x100 and x30 would come into an existing camera section ;)

So it is no X-T, no X-Pro, no X-E and so on...

Agreed.  This would have to be a completely new camera so a X-????  There was a quote further back in the thread where someone mentioned that the rumored X-Pro 2 was going to get a new name instead being called the X-Pro 2.  This is what I'm betting my money on.

That being said, I would absolutely LOVE to be surprised with a completely new system that no one saw coming.  Seeing how great Patrick is staying on top of the rumor mill though, I doubt we'd be completely blindsided.  =)

But yet Apple has made this the core part of their business, cannibalise yourself rather than let competitors take it from you..

according to the past announce/ launch dates: (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fujifilm_X-series)

Fujifilm X-Pro1: March 2012

Fujifilm X-E1:September 6, 2012

Fujifilm X20:January 7, 2013

Fujifilm X-M1: June 25, 2013

Fujifilm X-E2:October 18, 2013

Fujifilm X-T1: January 27, 2014

Fujifilm X30.August 26, 2014

This is my educational guess, the next camera would be: X-Pro2 with 1.3 crop sensor

but I do hope it would come with the new organic sensor, that would really shock the entire world...........cheers :);)

For some reason these two things are sticking in my head.

1) Fixed Lens Full Frame Rangefinder - which would be the big brother to the x100 series.  Would an x200 series have it's own subforum or be merged with the x100 series?  If this was to come true then I think it would warrant it's own forum.

2) Medium Format Rangefinder - The digital successor to the GW-690!  This one is way more of a long shot in my mind.  We don't have any lenses that would work on a MF sensor (as far as I know).  Again we haven't really seen anything about new lenses geared towards a sensor this size or appropriate lenses.

It will come with graphene organic nanocrystal sensor that grows off the plant-based silicone backing. And that sensor will be a 16 megapixel X-Trans II array with the same DR and ISO range as all current cameras.

    • Hi, Just got my X-T5 and watching videos and learning how to set it up. I was wondering if someone could help me with the information on the LCD screen. On my Canon it would always show say shutter speed, F stop and ISO in real time. Where as on the Fuji it shows shutter speed F stop and max ISO and only gives me the actual ISO it's going to use once I half press the shutter button. Is there a way for it just show all the time what the actually ISO it's going to use? Instead of having to half press the shutter button? Thanks
    • I have an X-T5 and am having the same problems with write errors in both SD slots. I'm using Lexar Pro cards that have been formatted for the camera. Any suggestions other than sending it back (at great expense) to Fuji Canada?
    • Some elements in (autofocus) lenses are „floating“, so I guess what you are experiencing is normal.
    • How do I turn off the electronic shutter in the menu - the option is grayed out and I cannot select the mechanical option
    • I'm having trouble finding a way to attach a right-angle viewfinder to the Fuji X-H1 camera. Does anyone have experience with how the angle viewfinder behaves in combination with the EVF? Is the Minolta frame diameter of the right angle viewfinder suitable for attaching to the Fuji XH1 (or XT1, 2, 3, 5)? Does anyone have knowledge about which eyepiece is compatible with the Fuji X system? Thank you in advance for any assistance and information you can provide.
