Oh My Gosh! Just received a GREAT RUMOR! Just a Hint for now... more soon!

Recommended Posts

Several pro X-shooters have said they've 'hinted' to Fuji to make a medium format camera, and as I recall, Arias did mention Fuji had brought out some of the old medium format models to quiz him on. 'Full frame' is quickly becoming a bit of a weird middle ground in the image quality stakes these days, so I would expect a medium format camera before a 35mm sensor body. There's also no reason why a body with a 35mm sensor would be referred to as a whole new type of camera, unless it was getting a totally unique lens mount. (Which would be stupid just for the sake of a slightly larger sensor, but isn't stupid for the big leap to medium format.)

So, medium format is my guess.

I'm gonna go with my original suggestion of a couple of months ago for an X100 series camera with an X30-like zoom lens (an X100Z).

I hope you're wrong  ;)

The whole point of the X100 is to give a more compact alternative to the X interchangeable lens cameras. Considering the Leica X-Vario size, you might as well take a Fuji X body with a kit zoom lens.

Camera with interchangeble sensor :)

And about FF, I would not like that at all, especially now that I invested so much money in the lens system, so I hope it will be that larger sensor which can still use the current lenses.

I second that. Anything that requires an update in our lens system will be a downer. I don't mind update the camera but I've just switched from Canon to Fuji and I won't be investing anymore on another lens system for many (many many) years.

"New Camera Section" must refer to the (becoming overdue) organic sensor. It cannot be apsc because that would cannibalise the x-trans.

So: FF or better, 30+ mp (effective), and cost more than a7s but less than a Hassie - and (hopefully) worth every damn eurocent!

I really hope it's not something that requires all new lenses.  Unless it's a medium format, which although I wouldn't buy it at this point and time, would be very exciting.

Look forward to hearing the latest rumor.  Thanks for staying on top of of it.

    • Hi, Just got my X-T5 and watching videos and learning how to set it up. I was wondering if someone could help me with the information on the LCD screen. On my Canon it would always show say shutter speed, F stop and ISO in real time. Where as on the Fuji it shows shutter speed F stop and max ISO and only gives me the actual ISO it's going to use once I half press the shutter button. Is there a way for it just show all the time what the actually ISO it's going to use? Instead of having to half press the shutter button? Thanks
    • I have an X-T5 and am having the same problems with write errors in both SD slots. I'm using Lexar Pro cards that have been formatted for the camera. Any suggestions other than sending it back (at great expense) to Fuji Canada?
    • Some elements in (autofocus) lenses are „floating“, so I guess what you are experiencing is normal.
    • How do I turn off the electronic shutter in the menu - the option is grayed out and I cannot select the mechanical option
    • I'm having trouble finding a way to attach a right-angle viewfinder to the Fuji X-H1 camera. Does anyone have experience with how the angle viewfinder behaves in combination with the EVF? Is the Minolta frame diameter of the right angle viewfinder suitable for attaching to the Fuji XH1 (or XT1, 2, 3, 5)? Does anyone have knowledge about which eyepiece is compatible with the Fuji X system? Thank you in advance for any assistance and information you can provide.
