xt-30. programmed for 'raw only' coming out as jpg in capture one. Hints to rectify are welcome.

Recommended Posts

Hi

Relatively newbie here. Gifted the camera recently.

In user menu, programmed for Raw and when I upload from card, the shots show as jpgs.

Any clues/hints to fix this?  Is it related to the lens I use? Anything else.

Thank you in advance

You're going to have to give us some more information. What do you mean by "upload from card" and "show as jpgs"?

If you are using a computer and copy the RAF files (using a card reader) from card to computer and then access those files with a program that can read Fujifilm raw files (such as Lightroom) then the image you see will be converted from  raw.

Ignore this comment - the forum wouldn't let me edit or delete it - I missed the key part of your heading when you mentioned Capture One.

Did you shoot raw+jpg maybe and load the jpg into Capture One?

Hi, I’m no expert so apologies if this is nonsense 🙂

Are they definitely jpgs?  It might be that C1 is showing you the preview of the raw file that reflects the camera settings?

Eg, you shot using B&W film sim.  You saved in raw but the preview shows that film sim applied.  If you go to the colour tab (IIRC) you can change the profile?

    • If it may be a little cheaper I would recommend the KIPON Tilt & Shift Adapter for Fujifilm X-Mount. It is available for about 300 euros to buy. Then you only need one lens for FX sensors. You can then waste the remaining 14300 euros on something else...
    • The only ways I can get the camera to show the "storing" message while it writes is to set either Clarity or HDR - neither of which can be selected in full auto mode. Even a very slow card does not show that message. I'm out of ideas. Perhaps you could post a link to a file when this occurs (straight out of camera) so that we can see all of your settings.
    • Welcome to our forum. I've copied your corrected post into the opening comment.
    • Maybe it will be more useful for Fujifilm to provide us (GFX users) with a  suitable tilt and shit wide angle lens  which is badly needed for architectural and landscape photography. I had spent over 15,000 Eur  in the system back in 2019 and that includes only the GFX 50s  as a camera body.. The rest of the money was spent on lenses, handgrip and tilting viewfinder which  has just stopped working..  It is only fair that Fuji take care of its clients especially after making a decision to switch camera systems from one brand to another. I have been taking my aging 50 s  even to cover yacht racing, although the focus system and frame progression is a huge disssappointment to say the least. as it takes a huge amount of time. I am a semi-professional and not a full time photographer, mostly engaged in art exhibitions and investment (especially at this day and age)  requires sacrifice... I expect that the system is given proper attention, now that it has lured users and clients to it! I am at the point of buying a second body, a decision which I m still considering or changing back again to full frame... as since then both canon and nikon have come up with workable solutions...
    • Hey, all. I'm in dire need of help. So, currently I have a problem with HSS with Fuji x-t 30ii and Godox ad600bm, using Godox X pro F wireless trigger. So when we first bought the flash and I paired the trigger and the flash, everything was fine and we were able to use it at a very high shutter speed. However, today when we went over 1/200 the usual black band at the bottom of the image appeared. I figured that someone must have touched something, but I can't seem to be able to find the problem. One of the things that concern me is that I press the HSS button on the flash and it's on, but it doesn't show on the trigger and can't find it on this particular trigger. The other thing is that in the user manual, it says that I should set my camera on FP, but when I get to my flash options, there's only front and rare curtain. Can anyone tell me what am I missing and what should I look for to fix this issue? What to make sure is on and what off? When we first got it, we used it at a very high shutter speed and one day this black band started to appear when we go over 1/200.   This is what I see when my trigger is on the camera(the flash works when I take pictures when it's like this btw) and I go to flash function settings, which I understand it shouldn't be like that:
