Gosh, that's rather hard to say... I would say "depends on the days and needs" ?

But always have the following:

- X-T1 with a lens, most often the 27 F2.8, 35 F1.4 or my newly acquired Helios M-2 58mm F2.

- A second lens, either the 18-135 or the 10-24 F4.

If I take a smaller pouch with the bag, I have extra batteries, enough SD card to shoot about 6k in raw, plus whatever is already in the camera. Travel friendly battery charger and either a small power bank or I take the big LimeFuel one. All the cables needed plus some extras, just in case.

Following what I am going to do, I take either more lenses with me or the SP-1 printer powered by either one of the power banks.

If editing on-the-go is needed, I have my laptop with me but mostly that spot is empty.

And a random sort from the following list:

- Pen(s)

- Grocery bag(s)

- Foldable 20L backpack

- Umbrella

I usually carry a Billingham Hadley Pro bag, with:

  • X-T1
  • X100
  • 35mm f1.4
  • 18mm f2
  • 55-200mm
  • Samyang 8mm fisheye
  • Set of Lee seven-five filters
  • Spare batteries for both cameras
  • Spare SD cards
  • Cleaning kit
  • Macro extension ring
  • Clip-on flash
  • Emergency rain cover

Depending on what I'm doing that day, I might also have an iPad mini in the back compartment and an 11in MacBook Air inside behind the padded sections.

I suspect that the Hadley Pro might possibly exist in more than 3 dimensions, as it is a bit of a Tardis.

So many options to build a bag, this would be my generic natural light portrait shoot bag. I bring an old roller suitcase for my tripod, flash gear and other accessories if I need artifical light.

Digital

Fujifilm X-T1

Fujifilm X100T

Fujinon 16/1.4

Fujinon 56/1.2 APD

Film

Hasselblad 503CW

Mamiya 6

Zeiss 120/4

Mamiya 75/3.5

Spare film and a spare back for the Hasselblad. Spare batteries and memory cards, a lens pen, a microfiber cloth, a lightmeter.

Bags...varies on what and where I am shooting.
One option I've been using is a smock-type parka (Fjallraven Smock #1) that has a lot of sizeable pockets easy to get to while wearing gloves.
I can carry:

XT1 and XPro1 bodies (usually one with my current shooting lens attached on a sling strap or just in my hand with a wrist strap).
Fuji X lenses:
23mm
35mm
56mm
90mm
Rokinon 12mm

Four extra batteries.
SDHC case holds 2 16GB and 2 32GB cards
Lens cloth and lens pen

Blower bulb

Peak Design weather covers...which also help with street stealth as they are black and so is my smock.

Lee-Cokin ND and ND grad filter kit with circular polarizer.

Everything fits in pockets, securely in padded lens cases and zip cases.

I also carry waterproof stuff sacks that can hold gear in the pockets for extra protection.

I can also carry a digital recorder, mic muff and extra batteries; bix cards, notebooks, phone, pen, etc.

I like ThinkTank bags.  If day hiking, I'll used the MindShift 180 and use a PeakDesign clip(s) for having camera on shoulder strap,
and another that can use their lens changer system (but this nice gadget does not yet fit Fuji lenses....)

I'm quite partial to a bit of fuji porn.

For me it depends on the situation;

  1. Street photography (my "hobby" photography) : X Pro 2, 23mm 1.4, a couple of spare batteries
  2. Wedding photography (my "work" photography) :
    • X Pro 2
    • X-T1
    • 23mm 1.4
    • 56mm 1.2
    • 5 spare batteries
    • Some 32gb kingston cards
    • ..food....

In both circumstances I like to try my best to travel light. My bag is a Manfrotto Professional (10 I think?) - perfect for the weddings with extra padding, and great for a 2 day street trip to cram my various overnight odds and ends in.
