Fuji X-E3 rumors

That's a critical issue for me. I still use an old X-M1 alongside my X-E2 just because a tilt screen is so handy for low and high angle shots.

The Series 3 sensor is making the X-M1 look a bit dated, so I wouldn't want to be still using it alongside an X-E3.

Then just buy an X-T20, jesus.

As usual people want everything for 500$.

The X-T line is a modern (more video oriented, features features features) line made specially for people like you.

The X-E/X-PRO line is made for photographers who make pictures, and want a camera that does not get in the way so they can concentrate on what matters (making good pictures. Hint : shooting random people doing nothing special in a street from the hip do not yield great pictures. It's a fun hobby tho. Macros never made legendary pictures either, they are very quickly forgotten.) Or I see another usage, people who want the easiest pockatable and light camera for hiking or street (with the 18 or 27 one doesn't need a bag, and at home they can use more lenses), the X-E line is perfect for them.

For this 2 kind of people, a tilt screen only adds bulk and complexity, and is something prone to break. It is not needed.

I think the products are perfectly lined up.

Fujifilm X-E3: "Some New Technologies not Previously Seen on Any other Fujifilm Camera“ (Trusted source)

Maybe this will be a camera that you can instruct to go out on her own and take pictures for you  ^_^ ideal for deniability. " I have no Idea your honor it was the camera own initiative "

This teaser is annoying. Just post the real rumor when ready, not this "I will reveal you something exciting in very few time" childish thingy, thank you.

it would not change anything

why? Let's do it like you suggest and wait for permission to share.

Ok... got permission, I write the rumor

"Fujifilm will implement feature XY in the X-E3. But another source says there will be more new features"

Ok... there is still a vague rumor about "more new features" that I can not answer, because I have no clue what they are.

So I have 2 option:

1) share the rumor and say that, even though I have no clue what it is, a trusted source told me "more new features will come"

2) do like you suggest and do not tell anybody that the X-E3 will have new features, until (if) I can find out what they are

I prefer to share what I have... and in this case it's a vague hint (more new features).

Great images are not sll taken from eye level, and a tilt screen is good for low level shots. And for people with man-sized hands and noses, the X-T20 is too small, and the central viewfinder is awkward to use.

    • Looking more like the next Fuji camera we see will be an X-T50 but it is still a rumor and no specs have been published.
    • Hey guys, The shutter on/off button switch may be loose on mine. After turning camera on and pressing the shutter/holding close to the area, the camera will turn off and say 'sensor cleaning'. This doesn't happen if I'm shooting via touch screen at all. Everything else is functional. Anyone else experience this before? Would love a much cheaper fix since Fuji Canada just quoted me $700 CAD to fix it, and considering everything else is functional except that part I'm not even sure why MPMB Main Board parts is being replaced😕 I got no explanation from them either.
    • As far as I know the firmware is not country specific. Are you sure that the filename has not been changed ( I am told this can happen with mac os). That's the only thing I can think of.
    • My x-t5 does not exhibit the focusing switch behaviour as you report it, so that is very strange and indicative of a fault. It does not matter whether the flash is attached or not. Once you set the camera for your studio flash, say 1/250th at f5.6, the camera, which is showing you what you will get at that exposure without the flash, will show a black screen unless the ambient light is brighter than what you would typically get indoors. That is why, as Jerry says, you have to set preview exp/wb to off. I have set a button for this.
    • I connected to FRAME.IO a while back and it works fine, but the camera wouldn't connect to the internet all of a sudden today and would get stuck on the reset screen, including initializing and even switching USB Connection mode. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?
