Recently check with Exiftool(terminal) the video information of my last shoot and i found out bit depth say 24 .. this mean 8 bit pre channel , I'am wrong ?  . I shoot in 1080p H265 10 bit . Also video megapixel is very low . Someone has encountered the same issue?

I tend to use Mediainfo rather than Exiftool for video - and for a similar stream from the X-T3 - it shows a bit depth of 10

Megapixels are as simple as 1920 x 1080 / 1000000 (i.e. calculated from image size and rounded to one decimal place)

Exiftool is actually intended for photos. For videos, you'd better use FFMPEG. (ffprobe)

Do you have a short example video?

Thanks for the link. This is the FFMpeg terminal output:

If I didn't know better, I would say that the 3x 8-bit data is packaged in a 3x 10-bit format:

Mac-mini:~ cpZ$ ffprobe -loglevel panic -show_entries stream=bits_per_raw_sample /Users/cpZ/Desktop/video\ 10bit/DSCF0630.MOV
[STREAM]
bits_per_raw_sample=N/A
[/STREAM]
[STREAM]
bits_per_raw_sample=24
[/STREAM]
[STREAM]
bits_per_raw_sample=N/A
[/STREAM]

As it stands, you seem to be right. It's just 8-bit instead of 10-bit.

The 24-bit affect the audio part. The bit specification for video seems to be missing in the video.

and know what we are doing ? Fuji say lie ? they deceived us ?

I have made corrections! Sorry for the confusion.

VLC says 10-bit. 😜

what to believe , Exiftool(24bit), Mediainfo(10bit) , FFMeg(Missing)  or VLC(10Bit) ?

If you want, you can make a video once with 8-bit and then with 10-bit (HDR) and compare.

Jerryy suggest to convert my video with ffmpeg before import in finalcut pro x?

No, for most things you can leave it as ten bit video, but if you need to convert it for a device that only supports eight bit video you can convert it easily. Usually you would only convert it after all of the editing is done and then double check that to make sure nothing went awry.

You can rest assured that it looks like your X-T4 is recording ten bit video.
