Fuji XT3 Stuck in "Pair with SmartPhone" mode

My Fuji XT3 started up with "Pair with Smartphone." I do not have the app. I have never paired it before. It does not allow me to move past this in any way. I have removed the battery. I have put in new batteries. I have tried to update firmware, but I can't get past this screen. HELP!

What steps did you take for pairing? Did you connect to the camera‘s wifi?

I am not trying to pair. I even deleted the app. It’s just in that mode when I turn the power on and there is no way out. There are no buttons that allow me to navigate. Just the “ok” which gets me stuck in a loop. I’ve tried inserting different batteries and still same. Stuck.

Sorry for my misunderstanding.

You could try to take out the battery for a longer period of time, keeping the power switch in the on position. Or try a factory reset.

Thank you! Somewhere in the battery removals I was able to get it unstuck. (I would not have been able to factory reset because I would need to get to the menu . . . which I was not able to get to.) Thank you for your help!

Hi,
I just had the same message on my X-T3 and it would not go away with removing the battery.
It finally went away when I pushed the 'disp back' button. Very strange.

Olaf's suggestion should work.

Take the main battery out, turn the power switch to on and leave the camera on the shelf for some number of days -- give it four or five. This will make the small internal settings back up battery drain completely and reset the camera to the last firmware default settings which should remove its desire to pair with a smartphone/tablet.
