Next lens for my XT-3?

So, I've had my XT-3 for 3 years now and my kit is the 16 f1.4 and the kit lens 18-55. I've been thinking of upgrading my 18-55, to something "better". I just feel like the IQ from the 18-55 is ok but not sure if the 16-55f2.8 would be good upgrade? I don't use video so IS isn't a major issue for me (I just my iPhone 13 Pro for videos). I usually take photos of my 2 year daughter so thinking zoom might be versatile. 

When I had my Canon 5D, I had all L primes and felt like switching lens was time consuming. Now especially with a moving daughter I just want something quick and good. Originally was looking at the Fujifilm 35f2 but then I don't think it's ideal? 

Thoughts?
