Fuji-X Sport: Red Bull Crashed Ice (X-T1 + XF 50-140)

Last weekend  I had a chance to take a few pictures of the qualification and trial runs during the Red Bull Crashed Ice event in Québec City (Canada).

Shot in raw, PP in LR 6.3, Sharpenning and Noise Reduction with Nik's Sharpener and Dfine

 

Here are the settings on my X-T1...

High Performance Mode is On, (obviously!),
Pre AF is On,
AF-Mode was on Zone, 5 x 3 Zone, and only the central PDAF points were used,
Release /Focus Priority is set to Focus (both for Af-S and Af-C),
Face detection = Off
Eye detection = Off
Shutter on MS only.
AF is on Continuous and the Drive Mode is on CH (8fps),
OIS = off,
Shooting RAW only with a 300mb/sec 64gb SD UHS II, no problems with the buffer

Great shots but why do you have the OIS in the off position? I have taken many sports photos with it on with excellent results.I use the 55-200 mm lens.
