Very bad high ISO ON X100v

Recommended Posts

My X100v files are very degraded even at 2500. Much softening and lots of grain. My XT-2 photos at this level are excellent. Above 2500 my X100v is not really usable.

In online reviews I have seen other examples of high ISO shots at 100% that are clean.

Does anybody have any idea why this is happening?

Thanks, Olaf.

After looking through all the settings for shooting (and anything else I thought might be a variable,) I finally just performed a full reset to the default shooting menu. That corrected the problem. I still have no idea why the pictures taken before the reset were so degraded. In simply looking at them through the viewfinder, they reminded me of high ISO shots 20 years ago.

The mystery remains unsolved. But my love of the camera is back.
