Screen locked and can't turn off x100T

Hi!

 

I got my new 100T yesterday and I was trying to setup the wifi settings today when I got stuck on the same screen buffering endlessly. I can't get out of the screen, nor turn off the camera and back on. What's happening ? Is there something wrong with the camera unit I received ? Is it defective ? And what can I do to resolve this ? It's been half an hour, and it's still locked on that buffering screen.

take the battery out, put it back in again see what happens

Ah yes, I initially was worried about damaging the system if I took the battery out while the camera was on but I eventually did that and was finally able to set up the wifi.

Other than that, I'm having trouble uploading pictures via the usb cable. When I plug in the camera, Windows says it found no material to import on the device and tells me to check it is unlocked and try again and when I use the MyFinePix software, nothing happens after I hit "Import Images" and select the camera than "Next".

Oh, ok, I updated the firmware, all good!

Is it normal for the lcd screen to be very grainy/noisy ? I had an X100 for a while, I didn't remember it was this poor.

Why do pictures take a lot longer to go into storage when using advanced filters ?
