FW update failed via App

KARR

Recommended Posts

Hi guys. So I'm new Fuji user (X-S10) and I've just tired to update FW (from 2.00 to.2.10) via App but it didn't go well.

FW was transferred fine from app to camera and it did start it but after like 30s it showed error and camera is stuck now in turn off/on again message.

Is there any solution to this except check with the fuji service because now I'm on the road and no fuji centre is near by. I was thinking about to do FW update via SD card but now I'm not sure. Result could be trh same. Thank you.

In my experience it's always best to update the firmware using an SD card. You might want to try that again.

The Fuji app is imo horribly unreliable in maintaining connection with the camera. In fact, I removed the Fuji app from my phone altogether. I find it to be an insult to customers. I've also worked with the apps of other brands (Leica, Nikon, Sony and Panasonic) but the Fuji app is easily the worst of all. Fuji should really put some effort into that app...

I totally agree with Herco. I have never been able to reliably connect my cameras (X-E2 and X-S10) to the app, even for a simple thing like transferring photos to my phone. The Fuji cameras are great, but the Fuji app really sucks... I would never try to use it for upgrading the firmware. Given the poor record of app, I think Karr is lucky -- so far his camera hasn't been bricked by the app.

This is the equivalent of 43 minutes, 40 seconds of exposure. NGC 1502 is a neat little cluster located in the Camelopardalis Constellation. This region of space was thought to be fairly empty by early astronomers, but as you can see, there is a lot there. Kemble's Cascade (a.k.a. Kemble 1) is named for Father Lucian Kemble, a Canadian Franciscan friar who wrote about it to Walter Scott Houston, an author for the Sky And Telescope magazine. Houston named the asterism for Fr. Kemble and the name "stuck". NGC 1501 is the Oyster Nebula. A longer focal length telescope is needed to bring this one into good viewing range, but it is well worth the effort. • Looking for input; there are some decent deals and might want to take advantage to expand my lenses for my 100s already own: 110/2 32-64 35-70 100-200 + TC   Shooting mostly family shots, bringing my kit to capture family outings indoors and out. Tracking the 63/43 effective FLs on the two, but has anybody used both? Would the 55 (covered by two zooms right now) be redundant? Would the 80 be too similar in character to my 110 for portraiture?
