Fujinon Lenses

Dear Friends,

Recently I got a present gift , which appeared to be the A7R II , I got many Fuji lenses , 56 1.2 - 10-24 F4 - 18 F2 - 27 F2.8 and the 23 F1.4 ...

The question is , where can I get an adapter that will let me able to fix them on the A7R II - (there is a APSC-Super 35 mode in the A7R II)

Thank you

I don’t think that there is any such adapter to use a Fuji lens on a Sony A7RII.

There are multiple reasons why there isn’t one and there will never be one...

1)  The flange distance of Fuji is smaller than the one of Sony.

2) The aperture of fuji lenses is not working on the lens without it being attached to the camera, only lenses such as ones without any electrical contacts ( e.g. Samyang) have operating apertures

furthermore, the focusing of many lenses of the system is also electric and won’t work without electric contacts.

Sell the Sony :D !

the only lens i got on the sony is Zeiss 55mm F 1.8 - but definitely , i am sticking with the Fuji  :D

The FE 1.8/55 is one of the best resolving lenses ever made, while the A7R II is (specs-wise) the best mirrorless body ever made. So that's quite a match there. If I were you, I'd stick with that.

Besides the reasons milandro already pointed out (flange focal distance 18mm vs. 17.7 mm, aperture, autofocus), even if the fujinon lenses could be adapted to the sony mount, you probably would not want to, considering that the lens correction is done partially optical and partially via software.

This is one of the most important aspects concerning adaptive photography, together with the fact that lenses made for film were never made to perform well with a system, a digital sensor, which only performs at his best with rays as orthogonal as possible to the surface of the sensor.

I use two lenses that aren’t communicating electrically and electronically ( by means of a chip) with the camera sensor and processor. The Samyanag 8mm f2.8 fish eye I ( the version II has an improved image circle that doesn’t seem to be a significant improvement on the APS-C) and the Samyang 12mm f2.

I have been wondering if it wouldn’t be possible to feed the camera with information, albeit general, on the adapted lens used. Originally that’s what I thought it happened when telling the camera which adapted lens is on the camera.

There’s a number of focal lengths pre-programmed and two ( why only two?) which one can modify. In reality modifying these only changes the exist data of the camera so that you can, afterwards, recognize the pictures and a program such as lightroom can order the picture under a lens directory.

It would be nice if the camera could be programmed to recognize lenses other than the Fuji or Zeiss.

Of course Fuji has no interest whatsoever in providing this feature which encourages people not to use Fuji lenses. However my take on this is that, with the exception of very few, most use adaptive photography as a creative extra, not as a total alternative.

RAW  and this last two format look like same result about Number of recording picture. Can tell all results in this: in raw you can make 17 pictures for second. Is wrong. Is about One single Press and wait buffer. Full 30/20/10/8 not change. After 17 Need Press again. You not can Press before "redgreen light recording Is on".   With preshot you can have 25  are more 7 pictures . The story change Only in jpg shot only. In jpg at 30 you have 30 picture but redgreen light off very Fast so you can shot very quicly. At 20 shot Is about start look like infinite shot. 60. • I do not use Flickr, so I do not know what their BB code is. All I did was copy the second link you provided, (starting at https: and ending at  _k.jpg — leave off the [img] and [/img] tags) and pasted it into the message. After a moment, a message popped up asking if I wanted to paste it as the image or as a plain link. I did this twice, the first time I had it paste in as the image and the second time as a link. Nothing fancy or tricky.
    • So do I just copy the BB code from flickr and paste it anywhere on the page like other forums or is there some other trick I need to perform to get it to post?
