Hi, so I recently bought my first mirrorless which is a XT30. I have been shooting for some weeks and it has been fine but when I try to record a video, no matter what SD I use, I can not record more than 3/4 minutes. am I doing something wrong? would you suggest me a good SD card?
thanks in advance!

what happens after 3/4 minutes? does it just stop? do you get any messages? does it get hot?

It's like if the minimum amount of minutes available to record a video is 3/4 minutes.

I never had this problem with any othe camera. The SD card is empty so there is plenty space

Which sd card are you using?

The ones listed on this site are decent:

but as long as your card meets the minimum requirements, it should be okay. Did you try using a different card?

Yes, I do have a X-T30. At this moment, I have a Sandisk Extreme Pro 170MB, 64 gb card in it that works just fine for what little video I record using that camera. But I have a selection of other cards that save video files also just fine, including Transcend and Lexar. But they are all rated as being fast enough for 4k recording, the slower cards made by those same companies can only record 640 or 1080p not 4k. The rating matters.

I don't understand - is this the number of minutes showing at the top of the screen before you start a video?

This implies a card problem.

If not could you explain exactly what you are doing and what you are seeing.

    • Fujifilm has a standalone raw converter program that turns your raw images into either jpeg or tiff files. It has quite a few tools, of course you can then import the jpeg or tiff files into image editors for further processing if you want. https://fujifilm-x.com/en-us/support/compatibility/software/raw-file-converter-ex-powered-by-silkypix/ https://fujifilm-x.com/en-us/support/download/software/raw-file-converter-ex-powered-by-silkypix/

    • I am using a Fuji xt30. When I go into the Q menu I can alter the choices, for example to change the ISO, using the touch screen. However, when I try to do this with the rear command dial, it does not toggle between the options. How do I reset or get the rear command dial to do this? thanks  Ravenstonedale
    • Hey Folks- new Fujifilm XE-4 owner looking to upgrade my photo editing skills by using the RAW files to produce a final product rather than the jpegs.  Unfortunately my iMac Photos does not support the RAW files from the E-4.  I just learned that even the most recent version of the iMac iOS system (Big Sur) doesn't support the XE-4 RAW images.  So I'm seeking input on a photo editor that runs on an older iMac (2012 year model w/ 8 mgs of RAM, Intell Core i5 processor and plenty of hard drive storage) that does support Fujifilm XE-4 RAW images.  I am not a professional photographer, just an amateur looking to upgrade his skill and craft.  TIA for suggestions and advice.
