X-Pro3 screen weather proofing

Recommended Posts

Just noticed the bottom seam on my X-Pro3 is a bit misaligned at the hinge end. Nothing serious and one side of the join is only proud a fraction of a millimeter (in Scotland that measure is more commonly known as a "bawhair"). However any seam like this to me screams capillary action, which could result in water in the screen housing.

Given this is my first camera with a flippy screen how is weather sealing implemented on a screen of this type and is this slight misalignment common.

Thanks in advance
