My Mac isn't detecting my XT30 when I plug it in

Using my Macbook Pro from 2013 running on High Sierra 10.13.6, I connect the Fuji XT30 with the USB cord, but nothing happens on the mac to indicate it detects the camera and no files are transferred. I have connection settings on PC Card Reader. I even downloaded the Fujifilm X Acquire software but it doesn't see my camera. What's the issue here?

Make sure you have selected "USB Card reader" in the menu, under CONNECTION SETTING > CONNECTION MODE.

Please can you tell us if you have it working like that, and which OS and camera type?
