Elinchrom Ringflash ECO with 35mm or 56mm lenses on X-T3 or X-T2?

Curious if anyone here has experience with the Elinchrom Ringflash ECO with either the 35mm f/1.4 or 56mm f/1.4 on an X-T3 or X-T2 body?  I watched a couple YouTube vids where there were some complaints about lens flare with shorter lenses.  The photogs in those vids were using Nikon and Canon bodies, though.  They seemed to mitigate the flare by removing the flash diffuser.  

I really like my Quadra setup, and would like to add the Ringflash (even though it's discontinued).  If it's not going to work with the standard X portrait lenses, though, I'll look at other brands.
