Looking for a XF series prime lens

I am a street photog who had decided to try nature photography but found it is not for me. I have a XF 100-400mm zoom , an 18-55mm zoom and a 50-230mm and want to trade them all for a XF 50mm prime. All of these are less than 1 yr old and in excellent condition. I can provide photos and details to anyone interested. Thanks

You are wanting to trade a group of lenses that in good condition are selling for over US$ 2000 for one lens that cost brand new  US$ 1500.

Why not just take them to your local camera shop and make the trade, or swap them through the various on line camera stores?

I have used B&H and KEH and camera stores before but found I cannot get as much as I can via personal transactions.

In reply to Jerryy: the 50mm prime I ideally want is approx $1500. Its the new Fujinon 50mm. Camera stores and usual online trade places (keh,mpb,b&h), usually give you (at best) about 70 percent of actual worth of lens. Ideally some one would realize value and be able to give me closer to their real worth as very new lenses or trade a good quality 50mm prime for my 3 lenses.

Get the 50/f2 and keep your other lenses.

Which car is "better" ? A Porsche, a Land Cruiser or the 5 ? I mean, it is not a question of better or worse, it is a question of better for a certain purpose. The 50 f1.0 is rather extreme, in DOF, price, size, weight, speed (low light capability). For the vast majority of normal photos I would argue the f2 is just as good and also small, light, inobtrusive and great value for the price. It focuses very fast, is sharp and WR. DOF at f2 (e.g. for portraits) is shallow enough for me. Maybe you have more extreme needs than I do so you have to decide based on that. I would refuse to make a general statement as to which of the 50 f1.0 / f1.2 / f2 is "better". For me the f2 is better. Go to a shop and try them out if you can. This is excellent advice. The 50/f2 is one of my beloved lenses for my X-Pro2 and street photography. As a pro also doing workshops, I see a lot of people struggle with these so-called portrait lenses like the 50/f1, the 56/f1.2 or in full-frame the fast 85mm lenses (f1.4 or 1.2). Esp. when you're in a hurry like the short time you have when shooting portraits in the street. Many like to open up the aperture as wide as possible ending up with all sorts of focusing issues due to the shallow DOF. Some even blame the lens (bad copy-syndrome) for their blurry pictures. When you stop down the 50/f1 constantly, you're effectively using it as a very expensive and clumsy 50/f2...
