X30 Broken Control Ring

My X30's Control Ring appears to have gone bad.  I can no longer change settings, use it to focus in manual mode, or use it to zoom in/out in review mode.

Has anyone else experience this issue?  Is it mechanical or did I perhaps disable it somehow?  I'm running the latest firmware (1.03).

I just checked mine, no setting available to disable the ring. So unfortunately it might be mechanical. Perhaps loose cable or something.

I have the same issue.

Goto Menu, Camera set Up, Button?Dial Setting,Function fn Setting, scroll down to R-Dial and check the settings choices there and see if Focus Check has been chosen.

Hi, I have just bought a second hand x30 - the control ring is not working at all, it turns very easily - but has no impact regardless of the setting.  I have tried everything, and so conclude its a mechanical issue.  Anyone have any advice?  Thanks.  Richard

I have exactly the same problem I think. After falling from a low height in the cover, the control ring does not work and moves loosely.
