XPRO1 sometimes slow and laggy

Hi guys,

Im not new to the system, but i've recently bought an used xpro1. After the first shots i noticed that the camera, now and then, becomes quite slow and doesnt response quickly at all, especially when i click down, menu or the q button. So i have to press these buttons several times, before something happens.

That only happens, when an af-lens is mounted. Without a lens, the camera works smoothly and doesnt lag at all.

The lens is a viltrox 23mm f1. 4. Both the body and the lens are updated to the newest firmware.

Does anybody have similar problems or an idea, how to fix this problem?

Tried to do a hardreset, using and formatting different sd cards and playing around with the settings.

Cheers

How did I not buy this camera earlier? I love the organic output it produces, and paired with the Fuji 35mm f1.4 lens it produces incredible files – jpeg and processed raw files. For me output is the most more important factor in creating an image. The files from this camera and lens combination are sublime, easily edited (both raw and jpeg), and the camera is fun to use. The following images were all shot with the 35mm f1.4 lens which creates sharp images with great contrast. Enjoy.

Hi guys, I need your help.

My recently bought RF603cII on xpro1 won't trigger my YN560III off camera. This looks like a neverending story to me, because a lot of people seem to be having issues with the trigger on their XP1s.

      observations:
flash on the camera hot shoe fires no problem, test fire off camera no problem. I have my YN and RF trigger on the same channel flash is in RX mode setting the trigger to RX mode and pressing the trigger test button the flash fires, pressing the shutter button on my XP1 does nothing setting the trigger to TRX (presumably the correct mode), the test button on the trigger nor the shutter does not fire the flash on the flash - a blue led is lit, meaning the YN and RF trigger are connected when I try to fire the flash normally with the shutter button(or the test trigger button), the blue light flashes as if it were firing on the RF only the right green LED is lit it's exactly this one >> http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yongnuo-YN-560-III-Flash-With-RF-603-II-Single-Transceiver-Trigger-for-Canon-SLR-/121783769294 removing the spring plate on the hotshoe didn't work using LCD/EVF/OVF doesn't make a difference
any ideas are really welcomed and appreciated!

I wish I could just chuck my gear around ! So many people seem to be able to use their Fujis like workhorse tools.. they get beaten up, grazed and scratched but are always instantly ready to capture an image. On the contrary..  I keep mine safe, wrapped in leather cases with lens caps AND skylight filters, they all still look like new. Somehow I can't bring myself to let them get messed up. I think I need help !

      Hello all Fuji lovers!

I'm curious to know how usable an X-Pro1 would be if I attached a 12mm lens on it (the Samyang 12/2). From what I understand, the OVF was designed for lenses as wide as the 18mm. Is the EVF as slow (refresh rate wise) as the X-E1?
I found an X-Pro1 at a great price and I'd give it a go. Given the fact the AF speed is rather slow (compared to my X-T10 and above), a super wide used at its hyperfocal distance would be the logical choice...

      Thank you!

PS: I searched the forum but didn't find much info on this topic.

      Hi All,
My name is Marcin, and I am new here, so please forgive me if I started the topic in a wrong place.

The thing is both cameras are now equally priced (more or less) and I'm thinking about transitioning from my Nikon D7000 to X System at looong last. I like the X-Pro1 style with the OVF and it's bigger size (I have large hands) but the camera is getting long in the tooth, and X-E2 just got the 4.0 firmware update, but I'm slightly worried about EVF since I'm used to shoot with a DSLR… so which camera to choose? I shoot mostly corporate/business portraits with off camera flash both on location and in studio. I know I will eventually buy X-Pro2, but this has to wait for now. I also know I will be buying 56 mm f/1.2 lens and working mostly with it (and I know the OVF on X-Pro1 won't be very useful with this lens). So many questions… Also, I wear glasses (though I can imagine myself switching to contact lenses).

      Thanks in advance,

      Marcin.

    • Thank you for checking, I have just observed the same behavior with the 35mm f/2 - X-S10 with v2.10 chooses 1/100s. I guess I will use the specific minimum shutter speed or simply force myself to use the M mode more.
    • Can I ask, what type of audio are you looking to capture?
    • Hi All, This is my first post. Hope this hasn't been covered before. I have something I'm trying to figure out on my x100v. I typically have my camera in natural live view with "Preview Exposure" off because I don't like seeing my exposure settings reflected in the image in the EVF. However, it seems that, in this setup, the live histogram no longer adjusts based on my exposure settings... Is there any way to get the histogram to show results based on what the resulting image will be without having the EVF brighten/darken based on exposure settings? With "preview exposure" on, I find it hard to compose-- especially in certain situations when trying to protect the HL's. Thanks very much! Collin
    • Hi all,Second post here would appreciate the input. I just purchased an X-T3 and X-H1.The EVFs on paper are meant to be the same with same refresh rates when in boost mode. The sizes are also meant to be almost exactly the same at 0.50 inches X-T3 and 0.48 inches X-H1 with the same resolution. However the X-H1 EVF feels smaller (bigger black border around the edges) and not as clear. It also gives me eye strain after just a few minutes. (I have adjusted diopter). It feels like its further away if that makes sense?Has anyone else noticed a difference between the EVFs when using them side by side because on paper they are meant to be the same. Perhaps its just this particular X-H1.Thanks,
    • I must have activated the wrong setting because now when I switch to the OVF the white windows stays for a second and then completely disappears. Any idea how to get it back? Thank you all so much. 🙂
