Lightroom messing with DR400

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone, Im having a bit of a problem with lightroom and my fuji files. When i upload the files to lightroom they look vibrant and great but when i switch over to develop the program seems to auto edit it and desaturated my image significantly. I have edit fuji files before and this hasnt happened. I believe it has something to do with me shooting at DR400 which is something i just started trying while shooting sunrise since i dont own any filters yet. Does anyone know a way to get lightroom to play nice with DR400 or has experienced this before. Thanks

The DR settings do not play well with RAW converters at all. It's not just LR, but all non-Fuji converters.

What's happening is you are seeing the vibrant embedded JPEG initially, then the unconverted RAW afterwards.

The solution sadly is to set your camera to DR100 and ignore the DR feature unless you're shooting for JPEG. All it really does is underexpose and bring up the shadows when generating the JPEG.
