What flash is enogh for caves photos? (for X-T4 camera)

Recommended Posts

Hi,
We have rather much caves where I live and I was thinking taking some nice photos inside some of my favorite caves.
So what flash can light up enough inside a cave? I have an X-T4 camera (but it is some freeze problem with it now).
Example of one of the caves below. Some is "closed" so no natural light inside, some others are "semi open"  like in the photo below so some light from outside is present inside the cave (but not much).
I have seen the Profoto A1X Air-TTL F for Fujifilm X but it has a very hefty price tag. Any recommendation based on proven experience would be appreciated.
Thanks,
/Bo

i wouldn't recommend using a flash in a cave. it can easily disturb any wildlife in there, even if you don't see any animals

in tourist caves (where you have to pay for a ticket or there is a guided tour) it's forbidden to use a flash (with some exceptions) because increased levels of light can stimulate the growth of moss

andrei89,

Good point not to disturb any wildlife in a cave.
But at least in two of the caves here it is many tourists, I do not think it is going to be a problem but I will check.
But if I want to use a flash where it do not disturb wildlife in a cave, what flash is suitable?
I have used a head LED lamp one time (I use it when running, when dark outside) when taking photos with an iPhone and it was OK photos, like this below. It was in a rather small semiopen cave that many hundred years ago was used for taking out pieces of stone that contain iron.
