[X100F] 3D-printed power-switching thumb grip

Recommended Posts

I designed a Leica-shaped folding thumb grip that also functions as an on/off switch for the X100F. The grip is press-fit over the exp. comp dial and swings out 3 clicks (a full stop; it's closed at -1 and open at 0). A cut out track on the top meshes with a press-fit collar on the power switch. This turns the camera on when the exp. comp is turned from -1/3 to 0, and off when turned from -2/3 to -1.

Solves always having to check where the always-turning exp. comp dial is (I never move it away from 0) and reduces repetitive strain on my index finger (I switch it on/off very often). The 3D-printed construction makes it basically single-use but easy to replace. I welcome any feedback and suggestions, and might release the design if people are interested.
