Disable LCD except for when pressing menu button?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm messing around with the different options for the view mode (via the viewmode button), but I can't get the setup I want: basically, I want to keep the rear LCD off at all times except when I press the play, menu, or Q button.  Is this possible?  Is there a custom setting somewhere I'm not toggling correctly?

Thanks for suggestions!

just click on the "view mode" button near the evf , to toggle the lcd on and off . clicking on the button switches between "lcd only" , "evf only" , "evf+lcd" etc.. i hope this helps ! . have a nice day ahead !.

I know this is few years old but I'm looking for an answer for patrickwiththecamera's request, and this solution doesn't really address it. None of these modes does "LCD off except for menu navigation."
