  1. Old question, maybe new answers? I refuse to use Adobe subscription s/w and was wondering what people recommend other than LR. I am currently using ON1 Photo Raw 2024 Max, but lately it had been running into problems, I am using an M1 Apple MacBook Pro 16” with 2 TB SSD and 32 GB ram. Some options could include: Capture 1 Silky Pix Raw Therapy ON1 DXO I wan to process both X-Trans sensors from X-H2/S and Bayer from GFX. Over to you guys…
  2. Here's a comparison test between two CFA with new Adobe method. Sorry, written in hungarian, but click to pictures bravely And a previous test: old Adobe X-Trans method vs new one.
  3. In case useful to others, I've mapped the EXIF info for the various film simulations offered by the Fuji X100F. You need to read 2 tags (FilmMode and Saturation) to get the full information. I've used exiftool, a command-line tool, to get this. I am on a Mac but exiftool is freely available on most platforms. (Now if someone could find out whether whether usage of the built-in ND filter is captured in EXIF...) # exiftool -m -s -f -FilmMode -Saturation *.JPG ======== Acros+G.JPG FilmMode : - Saturation : Unknown (0x503) ======== Acros+R.JPG FilmMode : - Saturation : Unknown (0x501) ======== Acros+Ye.JPG FilmMode : - Saturation : Unknown (0x502) ======== Acros.JPG FilmMode : - Saturation : Unknown (0x500) ======== ClassicChrome.JPG FilmMode : Unknown (0x600) Saturation : Normal ======== Monochrome+G.JPG FilmMode : - Saturation : B&W Green Filter ======== Monochrome+R.JPG FilmMode : - Saturation : B&W Red Filter ======== Monochrome+Ye.JPG FilmMode : - Saturation : B&W Yellow Filter ======== Monochrome.JPG FilmMode : - Saturation : None (B&W) ======== ProNegHi.JPG FilmMode : Pro Neg. 4. Hi! I did some longer exposures of a river with my big stopper. I noticed in darker areas some bright green pixels... Anyone may made same experience? Should i try to give it in repair or are some of that spots normal for the industry?
  5. Here's a comparison test, sorry, written in hungarian but the pictures has not language, check out (my blog but the author is my friend, FEDman)
  6. Hello all, I wanted to open this thread to discuss printing from Fuji X-trans files. I don't have too much experience. So far I only made Blurb book 12x12 inch. It came out pretty good but I am more interested about big wall prints. How far you can push the size, how big you can go to retain reasonable detail, quality of print on different surfaces etc. If you have any experience please share. I know there are general rules about print sizes but I have seen prints that defy them. I mean prints that are bigger you would expect from 16mpix file while retaining details visible even from reasonable close inspection.
