  1. Hi, I have an X-T30 and interested in the way the histogram is displayed. If I'm in looking through the viewfinder, then lower camera and look at the rear LCD, the histogram appears. After a second or two it disappears. The same when I rise camera to my eye - the histogram appears again then hides. The operation seems odd - the histogram is enabled in the screen settings menu. Thanks for any help.
  2. The photo editor Darktable have added support for X-T30, however that support currently lacks a noise profile. It would be great if someone would be able to assist them by creating one for them. There are instructions on how to create such a noise profile here https://pixls.us/articles/how-to-create-camera-noise-profiles-for-darktable/ I do not have all the pre-requisites for the photo-part of the process, but I can assist with the non-photo parts of the process if needed.
  3. I recently picked up the x-t30 after finding the Sony X100 Mark 7 point and shoot was a bit soft. I don’t know much about photography, but I love taking pics of flowers, family, pets, and travel. I realized that my x-t30 refused to take macros, so I got the mcex-16 to aid in that. I tried auto, manual, everything under the sun (I think), to try and take pics of my new African violet blooms. But my camera simply won’t budge when I press down on the shutter button. What am I doing wrong? Or is the Mcex-16 broken (it did come in a banged up box)? Also, I’m pairing it with a 18-55mm Fujinon lens, which several people were doing in the reviews for the extension.
  4. On my video files appear horizontal lines, I attach the screenshot, have anyone this problem? How can I solve it? Thx
  5. Greetings from Brazil! I have 2 questions: 1) I get the following error when I try to install FUJIFILM X Acquire on Macbook PRO running macOs Big Sur 11.4: "Cannot start FUJIFILM X Acquire. Another camera control application software is running." What can I do to be able to install? 2) Am I going to be able to use my X-T30 to recording in 4K using "Streamlabs OBS Recording Software" after I install "FUJIFILM X Acquire"?
  6. Hoping for fujifilm to release tethered shooting for xt-30 soon, for allowing it to use it as a webcam, since webcam mode isn't working. xs-10 was having the same issue which has been fixed by fujifilm 2 days ago through a firmware update, which brought the tethered shooting ability to xs-10 and thus enabling it be used properly as a webcam. since webcam functionality is much needed in today's work lifestyle , really hope that fujifilm address this issue of xt-30, same way they addressed xs-10 , by adding functionality !. so everyone who has xt-30, let's sent feedback to fujifilm, directly or by commenting in the webcam thread in the "xt-30" pages, like we were commenting in xs-10 pages. since fujifilm care about feedback, thus hoping that they will address this quickly. have a nice day !.
  7. Hi, I had a quick search for this and couldn’t see anything so apologies if it’s been posted before. I have an X-T30 which I love, but the one thing that annoys me is the tripod plate needs to be removed to access the battery compartment. I’ve seen a few l brackets which allow access to the battery compartment. I have a Peak Design tripod, so the plate needs to be unscrewed with a little key and it’s just a pain. Can anyone recommend an l bracket which is compatible with the X-T30, allows access to the battery compartment, is decent quality and doesn’t add too much bulk? I’d appreciate it if you could send your recommendations. Thank you 😊
  8. I switched over to Fuji from Nikon a few years ago and seem to have become quite a gear collector. When I used Nikon I had a Nikon D7200 and the 24mm f1.8, 35mm f1.8, 50mm 1.8, 85mm f1.8, and 60mm f2.8D lenses. Since moving to Fuji I have managed to obtain the following: cameras: X-T3, X-T30, and recently the X100V lenses: Laowa 9mm f2.8, Fuji 10-24mm, Fuji 16mm F2, Fuji 16mm f1.4, Fuji 16-80, Fuji 18-55, Fuji 23mm f2, Fuji 27mm, Fuji 35mm f2, Mitakon 35mm, Fuji 50mm F2, Fuji 56mm, Voigtlander 58mm f1.4, Fuji 55-200, and the Fuji 90mm (still also have the Nikon 60mm f2.8D). So I love all of these lenses, but honestly have way too many to put them all to use as I should. I am wanting to move to a minimalist set up. I recently purchased the X100V and instantly fell in love with that camera. The one lens design has really helped me rediscover what I loved about photography upon first starting out. So the X100V is staying with me. So I am wanting to sell some of my excess and need some advice about what to keep. At the moment I am thinking about keeping the X-T3 with the Laowa 9mm, Fuji 16 f1.4, Fuji 56 f1.2, Fuji 90mm f2, Fuji 16-80mm, Mitakon 35mm, and Voigtlander 58mm f1.4 (just for the fun of manual focusing). My question is, does this sound like a reasonable set-up? I really want to move away from zooms (except for the 16-80 for fun).

  10. Hey, this is a new member and new entree into the Fuji-clan. I am Oliver. Actually, I am a music composer based in Germany, through my travel and work, I noticed that I can’t stop to take pictures on the way. After the last 8 years only shooting with a smartphone, I purchase for the first time a new digital camera, a CANON 200D, in this month I got my first Fuji-Camera, an X-T30 with kit lens 18-55mm F2.8-4.0. I am pretty happy with it, to be honest, it is not the fastest system, but I also like the surprise which this system creates. With this cam, I could work on my portrait more with my own sensitivities on the people, especially for male portrait. I would like to know if any the photography association could join especially for me in Germany. For exchange I am glad to see you visit my instagram: www.instagram.com/oliver_espace
  11. Hello!! I just got a new X-T30 (previously had an X-T20). I’ve been starting to take some shots and they are extremely dark. Shooting at ISO 400, SS 1/30, and F8 in daylight and my shot is almost black. Would love any suggestions on what to try here… any chance I did something strange with settings? Thank you for reading!
  12. I went to shoot a house today and when I turned on my camera the screen was completely white as if I had the aperture all the way open outside. I can see all my settings and the menu, so it's not the screen. If I look through the viewfinder it has the same issue. Also, if I turn on 'Auto' the camera thinks it's way too bright and can't change settings to make the picture dark enough. I've searched the interwebs and can only find 1 video related to this issue which says it's a sensor ribbon issue, but it's in Russian (which I do not speak) and it's a comprehensive repair guide (which I am not capable of performing). My main question is what is the repair cost for this issue? I've called Fuji and they refuse to give me a quote for the repairs. Judging by that aforementioned video, the repair looks intensive. As this is only a T-X30 I don't really want to spend $500 to repair it. Also, is this common? My wife and I both bought a X-T30 in 2019 switching from Cannon. At the time Cannon was way over priced and way behind, but even my 20 year old digital cannon still works. This thing isn't even 4 years old and I only use it 3-4 times a week for about an hour at a time.
  13. Hi, I've just been trying to do some indoor video footage with my X-T30. I've only previously shot video on a "proper" video camera (many years ago) so in the learning stages on the X-T30. I set the camera to FHD_16:9, 29.97 fps, 50MBPS. (I tried a few combos such as 25fps and 100MBPS to see how it went. 100MBPS looked like it was going to eat my memory card up too fast.) As my frame rate was 30fps, I tried to stay at 1/60 SS minimum - which I'd want anyway(?) to avoid motion blur for sports. However, at anything above 1/30, I got rolling shutter "banding" from the indoor lights (UK so 50Hz). Shooting at 1/30 seemed to be ok re the rolling shutter effect but it breaks the rule of thumb of SS = min twice frame rate. It seems ok, am I missing anything? It'd be nice to understand the implications of some of the above.
