  1. I just want to ask. Is it normal to shoot with shutter speed 1/60 and iso 10.000. Cuz when I lower the iso the photo gonna be dark. Or is it something wrong with my camera
  2. TLDR; user can't figure out how "Touch panel operation when using the EVF" works Ok, so got my new X-T20 last night, got it all set up (having had to go on YouTube to figure out how the back button focus works on this camera as compared to my X-T10, aaarggh. Why doesn't the wee square turn green when it's capture the focus like my X-T10 did .. ), updated to the new firmware 1.11, and am mad excited about the ability to use the touch panel operation when using the EVF. However, having tried all the various settings and possibilities, it just will not work. I have activated the touch screen on/off => ON EVF Touch Screen Area Settings => ALL tried using the various view modes, without expected result. I expect that when this is set up correctly, that looking through the viewfinder and touching the lcd screen, the focus points move in the viewfinder also. Is this assumption correct?
  3. Hey! In August I was travelling through Portugal for good 3 weeks with my recently acquired Fuji X-T20 and the Fuji 14mm F2.8, Fuji 23mm F2.0 and the Fuji 56mm F1.2. Hope you enjoy the photos 1.Faro 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9.
  4. I'd like to be able to film night scenes with bright objects in them - exposure compensation is absolutely required. Yet it seems to be disabled in movie mode on the X-T20. Can't find an explanation in the user manual. Can anyone tell me if it's possible? Thanks!
  5. I'm a new X-T20 user . I found a most bookmarked thread in a forum suggesting picture profile settings inorder to gain rough RAW preview to facilitate ETTR. There was a reply saying this can be simply achieved by turning off the "picture preview effect" under display settings . But there was also a counter message saying it wouldn't work and it said to use your desired simulation (with settings if you want). do a test (by increasing) and find out the safe +EV range you can recover. I usually use exposure preview off with highlight clipping alert in order achieve ETTR. But some time I find although clipping warning doesn't come in evf, in post things are blown out and they can't be recoverable. Now I use 1/3 under than clipping highlight warning with "pic effect preview" turned off. Still I'm not confident. Which method do you use to achieve ETTR? Can you tell me if you are using provia simulation in x-t20 how many stops are recoverable in post? If you tried picture preview effect off method along with high light clipping option like me to get EETR how it is working for you? Thanks in advance
  6. Hi Everyone, I am hoping the Fuji veterans here can offer suggestions to a problem I have with the Mount Adaptpr setting on the X-T20. For lenses 5 and 6, I can set the Focal Length. However, the Distortion, Color Shading, and Peripheral Illumination Correction options are (unshaded) disabled. Firmware v2.0 is installed and the Shoot Without Lens is On. What have I missed?
  7. Hi all! I recently got my new X-T20 and now i´m looking for a suitable flash. After looking around for hours I cannot find any device thats is explicitly declared as fully compatible. I like the nissin i40, Meike MK320 because of the compact size. But I read somewhere that the Meike is not working with the X-T20. Does anybody know any compatible flash? Thanks philippe
  8. I'm considering upgrading my trusty X-T1, and I'm strongly considering the X-T20 over the X-T2 due to the cost savings. I'm not going to miss the better video, as I don't shoot video. I don't think I'm going to miss the weather sealing. I am a little concerned about the smaller EVF. Anybody else made this move? thoughts? thanks!
  9. Is there such a thing? Wondering if it's possible to have the camera choose shutter & aperture, but not focus automatically? May be a really dumb question, sorry if that's the case Thanks!
  10. I love my X-T20. It’s the best camera I’ve ever bought - except for one thing: since I bought it 15 months ago I’ve had to have the sensor cleaned three times. Previously, I’ve had a LUMIX G3 and G6 and never had to get them cleaned at all. I know getting the sensor cleaned is an occupational hazard for mirrorless camera owners but I don’t use this camera any more than those, so have I just been unlucky or is there something about the design of the X-T20 that makes it particularly vulnerable to dust and dirt?

  12. Hello! I have my first gig to photograph an outdoor attraction. I have Fujifilm X-T20. The outdoor attraction is a dude ranch. I shoot today and it is sunny. The lens I have: Prime 50mm 16-80mm 1:4 18-55mm 1:2.8-4 My questions: What lens would you use to shoot? What settings would you use? (I have not ventured off AUTO but I would like to shoot RAW and Fine so i have better ways to adjust afterwards.) Any tips or tricks you'd like to share? Thanks in advance for your expert help!
  13. I'm just getting into photography, bought my first mirrorless today. Snagged an X-T20 kit with the 18-55mm from a local shop, and I was super stoked. The store is very reputable. I was using the camera for a few hours tonight and it was fine, but then randomly after changing it to High Performance mode, I was using the touch screen to focus, and the camera locked up with the green focus light blinking with the LCD still working. Even flipping the on-off didn't shut down the camera, and I had to remove the battery in order to turn it off. Now the camera does this every time I even try to focus, whether it be pressing the shutter release or touching the screen. Sometimes the screen completely locks as well and other times the screen + sensor is still active but locked. Nothing seems to resolve the issue: I have reformatted the SD card, reset all the settings I think I am able to, and nothing seems to change. I'm quite frustrated. I had updated all of the firmware (body + lens) before ever using the camera. Any ideas on what the issue may be??? I feel like my best bet is to just bring it back to the store, but this was their last kit, so I'm pretty bummed.
