  1. Hi everyone! I recently tried using the X-H2 as a webcam, but the results were disappointing. In any mode, with any cables and operating systems, the camera loses frames. This results in jerky images. If you record a video from the X-H2 (as webcam) and watch it frame by frame in the editor, you will clearly notice the appearance of 2-3 identical frames in a row. Lost frames appear randomly, without any periodic pattern. Everything can work smoothly for 10 seconds, then jerks start again. FW version 3.10 (last), I tried to completely reset the settings - it didn't help. Everything is smooth on the HDMI output, and everything is smooth when recording to the card. Thanks for the help! 2. I had the pleasure of borrowing the following for 2 weeks: GFX100S GF 30mm F/3.5 R WR GF 35-70mm F/4.5-5.6 WR GF 80mm F/1.7 R WR GF 100-200mm F5.6 R LM OIS WR I shot some portraits, landscape and close ups, against my X-H2 with equivalent focal length optics. I am willing to share my conclusions and pictures, but only if I get some interest here, otherwise there is no point in spending hrs put it all together.
  3. Anyone have any idea as to the release date of the xH2? I see a lot of speculation in the past but nothing recent Thanks
  4. The X-Pro3's unique design has me really excited for the X-H2. FujiRumors near constant insistence that the X-H2 *might* not be coming in 2020 leads me to a few wild speculations: They're going for something completely different with the X-H2, it seems obvious to just make an X-H1 with the updated X-Trans4/X-Processor4 tech, if that was the plan FR sources could be more definitive on release timeline than just "eh, maybe 2020, maybe not." The uncertainty in my mind means they don't yet know the full design/tech of the camera. Maybe they're going for a more video oriented body with a new layout we've not yet even considered (ala X-Pro3's radical redesign), maybe (finger's crossed) they're waiting for X-Trans5 or X-Processor5 tech to be ready and skipping the X-T3's video tech entirely to come out with a major video upgrade and not just an X-T3 with IBIS (lovely as that sounds). It would make sense as their original goal with the X-H1 was to entice pro photographers to switch, however they screwed up because they used 2 year old tech in the process. Why do the same thing with X-H2? The X-Pro2 skipped the X-Trans2 sensor and was the first camera featuring the X-Trans3/X-ProcessorPro system and it was a massive success, still selling new units damn near 4 years later. I know an X-T3 with IBIS/pro body sounds awesome but how much better would it be to have a totally unique new camera geared towards video the same way the X-Pro3 is geared towards Photography? The only drawback I can see is we're probably looking at a late 2020/early 2021 release date in the best case scenario. I say it's worth the wait.
  5. I have always hold the thought that the H2 should be more free to be larger to support higher end ports like a full HDMI port, and seeing the C70 have mini XLR ports for audio. At first with the smaller XPSC sensor I thought the XC10 style body (without the built in lens) will be very suitable option as well. A rotating grip that benefits a video shooter, still large enough to add internal ND filters and maybe still enough space for the ports mentioned before. Seeing the XT4 got larger and moved in the direction of the "perfect" hybrid camera that can do both photo and video, even though the only thing left is to have an even larger grip that the X-H series cameras have as an advantage over the X-T line. This is not enough and I still think the move on the XT4 makes the possibility of the X-H series to move higher in to cinema realm. (fan, no over heating, unlimited recording) MAYBE the C70 is over kill and too large for an ASPC sensor so do consider the XC10 size comparison here https://camerasize.com/compact/#615,772,ha,f that the size doesnt really increase that much but gain many more benefits with the ports once again. (Its not as wide but its definitely going to be a longer body for sure) Do not im not thinking of the exact same body but just a similar theme of larger body to have room for a more capable video camera.
  6. Hey everyone. Just picked up a new X-H2s and had my first shoot with it this past weekend. Still figuring out all the features but I got a good handle on it for what I needed this past shoot. So I shot video all weekend 4k 24, 4k 120, and HD 240 in h.265 All-I 4:2:2 10bit at 360Mbps. I'm editing on final cut and everything looks great except playback in 4k 24 is super choppy, but 4k 120 and HD 240 playback butter smooth. I know my computer can edit h.265 just fine, I made sure of it when purchasing it, and like I said I have no issues with the slow motion h.265 shots. Luckily if I export a 4k 24 clip it plays back perfectly fine. anyone have any thoughts in this? Thank you! Matt
  7. Hello everyone, I just got my X-H2 and I am excited as can be. But I have to admit I’m a little lost. So many questions, and I don’t know where to turn. First of all does anyone know if there’s any kind of online tutorial specifically about using the X-H2? I have signed up for some of the Fuji tutorials but they’re more about composition and I’m not ready for that. I just really need to understand all the knobs and dials and settings, etc. For example, when I import files to my computer, I don’t have any camera information whatsoever so I’m obviously doing something in a way that could be improved, But that’s just one of many questions I’m piling up Any guidance for a newbie would be greatly appreciated. any guidance for a newbie would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Pete.
