  2. Hello everyone, First time poster, long time reader. I use the EVF on my x-e1 90% of the time and all of a sudden, without a warning, the evf just dies. I can toggle through the (evf - eye sensor - lcd) modes, but when I get to the EVF part of it, I just get a blank EVF. Does anyone know if this can be fixed without it being sent in for repairs? A setting I may have overlooked? Perhaps a magical re-boot sequence? A secret hand shake? What ever. I'll try anything. ***ALMOST anything for you wise guys out there!*** Thanks for any info.
  3. When my X-E1, with the XC 50-230 attached, finds a focus point, it is pretty quick. However, when it cannot find anything to focus on, then it takes an eternity before the lens has traveled the whole focusing range (and the red rectangle appears). I so understand that the X-E1 only uses CDAF focusing, while the X-E2 uses PDAF, which will be more reliable in low contrast situations. However, does the X-E2 (or X-T10) also get quicker to the conclusion that it cannot find a focus point? Or is the time that takes just a property of the lens? Anyone who tried the XC 50-230 on both the X-E1 and the X-E2 (or X-T10)? Thanks!

  6. Hello Fuji users, i have to buy a new tripod for my X-E1 (actually have a Manfrotto Compact Light) with 18-55 lens. I read very good feedbacks about Genesis tripods. Plus they have great price with high quality! Anyone use them and can recommand them? My choice is the A3 kit that have BH--34 ball head, the attachment is Arca-swiss type. Budget around 100-150 Euros.

  11. I am using a X-E1 camera with a vintage Canon FD 50mm F1.8 lens. When I take an image the result is always soft, even though the viewfinder or screen show a very sharp image, however as soon as I press the shutter pre-view the image is soft, and when I take the photograph, the result is soft - like it is very slightly out of focus. I have used this with focus peaking and everything looks sharp. Am I correct in assuming that images seen on the screen when focusing is via the lens? is it the lens? or my setting or my manual focusing ability. some help will be useful, TIA.
