Fuji XT-2---Pink snow when shooting in jpg?
Talia posted a topic in General DiscussionHi, Can anyone help me understand why my jpgs of snow come out looking very pink? (Sky too for that matter.) And what I need to do to correct this problem. The pink tint is both visible in-camera and in Lightroom CC. I have been shooting using Auto WB. And based on the histogram, exposure is not a problem. I did not encounter this problem with my Fuji XT-1. Thank you.
Incorrect color displayed
Daryl Chan posted a topic in Fuji X-T1 / Fuji X-T10I'm using an XT-1 with current firmware and 18-55mm lens. I'm shooting a colored light display and the color doesn't come out right. The reflection of the display off of the water in front of it is correct but the display is not. I tried different white balance settings but it doesn't change. I don't think it's a WB issue. Any ideas? See the attached photo. The lettering is red but it appears yellow. It's correct in the reflection.
Light shift when autofocus shifts on video
ohad posted a topic in Fuji X-T3 / Fuji X-T30I have an xt3 and a technical question about focus while shooting video. Each time the autofocus stops recognizing the face of my subject, the camera changes focus to its defined focus square. This creates a light shift. How do I avoid this change? (I'll emphasize that my White Balance was custum so the light shifts has nothing to do with white balance) Here is an example: https://youtu.be/BbHu1VV6K6A
Hi, I would like to know whether it is possible to set specific kelvin temperatures for white balance, for example, 5000K. I see that according to the menu, there are ranges with differences of 3000K, for example, 5300, 5600, and 5900. Thanks, Steve
XT3 log, hlg, and white balance settings
Ubz99 posted a topic in Fuji X-T3 / Fuji X-T30Hi, I’m currently newer to the Fuji system and I love it! When shooting in log and hlg, is it best to set the white balance using a white card when shooting in those modes modes? I've heard that some shooters prefer to set the white balance while in a standard mode (e.g. eterna) and then switch over to log or hlg. Additionally, I’ve heard that since log (and somewhat similarly hlg) are “raw” modes, you can shoot and then set the white balance in post. To me, it makes sense to set the white balance while shooting in log or hlg and then tweak as necessary in post. Any thoughts?
I just started using the Fuji XT3 and I'm having an issue with the colours of my final images. I custom set the white balance and in the LCD and EVF preview the photos are perfectly white balanced and exposed, however when I opened them on my laptop, the white background appeared more grey, and the overall image is more subdued. Is this normal or is there a setting I need to change?
AWB in LIghtroom and RAF Files
Alan Wallace posted a topic in RAW conversion Fuji X-Trans SensorPLEASE DISREGARD. FIXED WITH A REBOOT. Sorry I can't see how to cancel this post. I have to use Lightroom Classic for a course. I am importing RAF files into LR from my XT3. The problem is a current assignment requires me to adjust the WB in LR using the various settings. But the only options I can see are As shot, Auto, and Custom. The other 6 or so options like Cloudy are not displayed as an option. I read that if you are processing jpgs or TIFFS then only As shot, Auto, and Custom are available in LR. I am wondering if the Fuji RAF file format is seen by LR in a similar manner to a TIFF or jpeg (even though it is a raw file). I am wondering if any other Fuji users have experienced this problem with LR classic (current release).
I have set up some custom white balance settings on my X100V, they save and are there until i use any custom profiles, then they reset back to default, had a friend with the same camera check, his resets as well, still the same after the firmware update, anyone else experienced this?
