  1. cross-posted: just upgraded to fw4 yesterday morning. though a couple of things seemed odd(see below, #2 & #3) it worked fine for ~100 shots, then last night, out of the blue, it started acting up. tried to upgrade firmware again, used different cards & batteries but no luck. symptoms: 1. it doesn't record to memory card, i.e. i take the picture, the orange light stays lit (or before the second firmware upgrade try, it would light up green&orange intermittently - now it is a steady orange), if locks up the rear screen so that it stays on&shows whatever's in front of lens (i.e. as though i am composing to take a pic, but it won't come out of this mode - play button is useless, any other button is useless). camera doesn't turn off until i remove battery. when i restart, no image is recorded onto the card. 2. since the first upgrade, all icons in q menu only show iso, i can't modify them(it was this way immediately after upgrade, but i was still able to take pictures for about 100 frames; it is still this way)? 3. on the right bottom of rear screen, right above iso gauge, there is a darker, semi-translucent rectangle that is blank - it looks as though an indicator should be there but isn't (this also has been this way since first upgrade attempt, but it was working until last night). i put a shot of the back screen with this in the link below, as well as in the attachment to this post: anyone else have this issue? any pointers as to what could be wrong would be much appreciated. thanks! https://www.dropbox....G_0552.jpg?dl=0
  2. Hi guys, I've got problem with my Xt1, normally when I turn on my cam and start photo, the first few images were good and no issue. However, when a certain period of usage, I noticed very fine horizontal lines on the screen. It is not just on the screen or evf. It was visible as well in the output photos. Hope do you have any idea what's happening with my Xt1. Please see the attached sample image. Any advise for resolution. Thank you.
  3. My X-Pro2 makes quiet tapping noises (about two) during its in-body sensor cleaning (only audible in a quiet room), which makes me wonder if there's an issue with the sensor cleaning mechanism, or is just a normal variation of the camera. I'd just like to confirm whether you hear it on your camera as well (the sound should be more pronounced when you press your ear on the bottom of the camera in a quiet room, and activate sensor cleaning).
  4. Hi Fuji users, I've been having an issue with my X-T2 for about 6 months now. A week after purchasing the camera brand new, the speaker had stopped working. No AF sounds, ES sounds, or sound from video playback. Yesterday, the sound came back for one minute for the first time in 6 months, but it went back to no sound quickly after. I've turned the sound settings on and off, updated to latest firmware, and still no success. The camera has not taken any damage that would cause this issue. Does anyone have suggestions or advice to get sound working again? I really don't want to have the camera serviced especially since I'm in India with warranty for Japan. Thanks!
  5. I did a long exposure last weekend for star trails and while it looks nice I cannot use it because it is full of these colorful artifacts. On different long exposures they appear in similar areas. They also appear on my X-T1 sometimes. I have had the sensor cleaned for dust at a camera shop on both cameras.
  6. AMATEUR alert. When I depress shutter button on my XT1, indicator light blinks orange and it wont take a photo. The flash is closed, memory card not full, and it isn't writing a previous photo to the card. Its in mode P. Any ideas what could be wrong?
  7. I just got this camera last week through Rand's Camera on Amazon (not sure if anyone has used or heard of them before). I'm still weighing whether or not I should try and return/exchange the camera, as he came with a slightly damaged box, the manual sitting between the outer folds of the box, and little peculiar things like the metal rings for the strap already being attached to the camera. I've started a dialogue with Amazon over this, as it was sold new but appears to have been at least somewhat handled already. So, I'm keeping an eye on its behavior to see if I notice anything weird and I've run into my first hitch. When transferring photos from the camera to my phone (Samsung Galaxy S8+), the transfer will sometimes stall but still appear as though it's trying to process photos on my phone. I can cancel in the app on my phone and quit the app itself, but I can't back out of the transfer screen on my camera at all. I'm attaching a screenshot of what I see. The only way I've been able to get around this is to remove the battery and put it back in. Turning the camera off and on again does not cancel the transfer. Has anyone else run into this? Is this a known or common issue, or should I be leaning on the side of returning this camera and purchasing from another seller? Thanks!
  8. My x100v camera has an issue where the shutter unexpectedly closes and opens, causing a flicker. This occurs when I'm streaming videos to an HDMI output. The frequency of this problem is unpredictable. It can happen as frequently as every 2-3 seconds or as infrequently as once every half to a full hour. Could this be related to a specific setting? If anyone knows a solution to this, could you please guide me on how to fix it? Example of it happening: For reference, the x100v to a BlackMagic HDMI capture card.
  9. Hi everyone, Just came across this forum yesterday as I was researching an issue with my XT-10. Here it is... When I turn the camera on the shutter fires three times and the external controls no longer work. The focus, manual and auto no longer work either. Basically it seems like its "brain" has gone haywire. When I turn the camera off, the shutter fires once before the camera turns off. If I switch to auto mode I can get into the menu, but not when it's in manual mode. Has anyone experienced anything like this? Is there possibly a reboot I can do, or as I suspect, I need to get it in to Fuji? (It's still under warranty.) I did buy a new SD card and had put it in the day before the camera broke. I'm traveling in India so I really hope it's not a shotty/fake card that ended up messing up the electronics. Thanks in advance for any ideas and help.
