  1. I'm quite happy about annoucement of new update for X-T20, however there are few things that I'm really missing and some updates could add some of those in future. For instance: 1. Add histogram to video mode. 2. Add mic-level preview in video mode. 3. Customization of front dial. 4. Faster response of sensor in EVF + eye sensor mode. 5. Ability to wake up camera by press different button than shutter-release button (sometimes it wakes camera and also take picture immediately). 6. Smaller horizontal line, less disturbing during shooting. 7. More sensitive camera position sensor. Sometimes menu wont turn to portrait mode after turn camera in that angle. 8. Ability to add vignette effect in JPG's, like grain or saturation. What do you think is still missing and could be added or fixed? Thanks.
  2. Hi guys, I'm new in the forum. Have had an x100s for almost 4 years and I always loved it. It has always been my travel camera. But I always found a limitation to it and I thought bigger and more professional Fuji cameras wouldn't have it. For my professional work (fashion/advertising/food photography) I was using a nikon D800e (always been a nikon photographer, until my x100s made me think about it). Recently, I traded my nikon gear (body and three lenses) for a Fuji xt1 gear with a friend (two bodies, three lenses). NOW, I find something majorly dissapointing: I need the shutter button to hold a focus lock when kept half pressed after the first shot. further explanation? I focus on a subject with a half press of the shutter (most cameras in the world will give you a beep sound to check that focus was acquired, something else I'm missing in the Fuji) and then I either recompose or just stay with the same framing, but I continue pressing the shutter many times to get many shots, always lifting my finger enough for the new shot, but not so far to unpress completely. So I keep the Half-press and the focus stays locked in the first setting (the first time I pressed)... Xt1 fails to do this and the only solution I've found so far is to use the Back Button AF-L. This could work, but why use two buttons when it could be just one (and it could have a beep for focus acquisition). Does this bother anyone else? Also, lastly, anyone knows if the xt2 or the xpro2 behave the same way? According to this video xpro2 has a system like I want, but can someone confirm this? Cause if its like this, I'm switching one xt1 to the xpro2. Xt2 maybe too? Thanks guys, and I really hope this could appear in the future in firmware updates. All the best to all Sergio Miranda www.sermiranda.com
  3. I am reposting this from another x forum as I am hoping Fuji will see this if no one has already requested: I love the auto focus - it's terrific- but, I feel TOO fast for cinematic-like focus pulls when one operator / cinephotographer is shooting moving picture work. It's a dead giveaway it's on auto, with one operator. I would like to make a feature request in a firmware update for two additional slower modes for continuous auto focusing: Just "slower" and "slowest" or maybe "cine", and thin slowest called something like "slow". The current snappy pull simply does not look like a typical focus pull for a filmmaker. It is set up for snap pulls- which can work for action - but optimized for stills work, less so for motion. Adding these options would be a huge benefit to single-person run and gun operators , eg those who shoot short film, documentary etc, and automagically also enable the operator to better adjust framing on the fly to help ensure the focus pull locks onto the intended target . . . . Adding this feature, plus FLOG to the SD card (PLEASE try to keep it 4:2:2!) would make the X-T2 KILLER. LOVING the XT2 so far. Richard
  4. Hi everyone, I just wasted three hours of explaining my idea and at the moment of posting my pc magicly shut down so in short... Fuji could incorporate 42mm, 50mm and let's say 65mm crop modes (framelines for OVF and EVF < like Leica did with the Q) without the need of using the TCL. I know this would kill/lower the sells of the TCL but would also make the X100S/T (especially considering it's size without the conversion lenses) more versatile for some 42mm, 50mm FL lovers and portrait (street) shooters who love the form factor of the X100 series. We would loose some of those megapixels (resulting in aprox. 14MP,12MP, 9MP) but for general use I don't see that as a huge problem, as long as you don't intend to print huge. I am aware that you can switch to TCL mode, but you're limited to shooting in OVF, and you have to crop the image and correct back the already corrected distortion in PP which is also not intended), also no correct image preview after shooting in that mode, EVF not usefull. They could even make two modes for the EVF, one with the framelines as if you were looking through the OVF + no paralax correction needed, and one with the 100% coverage for all FLs). Even with the EVF the camera would read 100% of sensor surface and display it on EVF/LCD and only take the crop portion of the image (or take one full image as a backup > RAW(full)+JPEG(cropped)? or using the ''Save original image'' option set to ON?). The change of what is saved and what not could be set in the Q menu also, and the change of framelines assigned to one of the custom fn buttons, as it's now possible for the conversion lenses. What do you think? Possible?...sure it is. Pretty please Fuji?
