Hello, All of a sudden, the image preview function (to preview the image just shot) stopped working when using the optical viewfinder. (Works fine with the EVF). Has anybody had this problem before? Anything I can do short of sending it back? Many thanks! Hani

Hello all Fuji lovers! I'm curious to know how usable an X-Pro1 would be if I attached a 12mm lens on it (the Samyang 12/2). From what I understand, the OVF was designed for lenses as wide as the 18mm. Is the EVF as slow (refresh rate wise) as the X-E1? I found an X-Pro1 at a great price and I'd give it a go. Given the fact the AF speed is rather slow (compared to my X-T10 and above), a super wide used at its hyperfocal distance would be the logical choice... Thank you! Hi everyone, I just wasted three hours of explaining my idea and at the moment of posting my pc magicly shut down so in short... Fuji could incorporate 42mm, 50mm and let's say 65mm crop modes (framelines for OVF and EVF < like Leica did with the Q) without the need of using the TCL. I know this would kill/lower the sells of the TCL but would also make the X100S/T (especially considering it's size without the conversion lenses) more versatile for some 42mm, 50mm FL lovers and portrait (street) shooters who love the form factor of the X100 series. We would loose some of those megapixels (resulting in aprox. 14MP,12MP, 9MP) but for general use I don't see that as a huge problem, as long as you don't intend to print huge. I am aware that you can switch to TCL mode, but you're limited to shooting in OVF, and you have to crop the image and correct back the already corrected distortion in PP which is also not intended), also no correct image preview after shooting in that mode, EVF not usefull. They could even make two modes for the EVF, one with the framelines as if you were looking through the OVF + no paralax correction needed, and one with the 100% coverage for all FLs). Even with the EVF the camera would read 100% of sensor surface and display it on EVF/LCD and only take the crop portion of the image (or take one full image as a backup > RAW(full)+JPEG(cropped)? or using the ''Save original image'' option set to ON?). The change of what is saved and what not could be set in the Q menu also, and the change of framelines assigned to one of the custom fn buttons, as it's now possible for the conversion lenses. What do you think? Possible?...sure it is. Pretty please Fuji?

I have attached my 14mm on my xpro1,but as ovf is usuless, and xt10 has beter evf,Iam wondering about changing -body x lenses.who can help me?(mind that when travelling I carry two cameras with me and dont like to change lenses on street)

Hi All, Does the digital teleconverter on the X100F work with the OVF engaged (or only with the EVF active?) AND does it change the view to show 50mm and 70mm? Thanks, Darren

Originally posted this query because what I saw through the optical viewfinder was LARGER than the picture that is actually taken. This is just how the OVF in this camera works: it's bigger than what's actually seen by its lens. Never personally encountered this before in a camera. No, you cannot disable this behavior. Original post: Hi all, I'm new to this forum and just purchased a used X100F (an upgrade for me... I've spent time behind a Nikon film camera and an older model of Fujifilm X. I spend most of my time taking pictures of flowers). I've been struggling with one particular feature, not knowing how to disable it, not knowing what it's called in the menu system: When I look through the OVF and press shutter lightly to autofocus, sometimes the frame lines contract pretty small. It's like there's a "smart auto-crop" deciding how to frame my photo. But I want to be able to decide that for myself. This only happens when my eye is to the OVF; it doesn't happen on the LCD screen. Can I turn this feature off? Or is this permanent, in OVF? Or is my camera malfunctioning? (bought it used...dual viewfinder is out-of-order, for one) More context: I am not using a teleconverter. I'm not using zoom. I've been perusing reviews, forums, the user manual... nothing sounds like what I'm describing. Does anyone know what this is called and whether I can disable this feature? Thank you in advance!

Is there a startup time difference between OVF and EVF on the XPRO3? I have the XT3 and wonder if there's a noticable difference between startup times between XT3 EVF and XPRO3 OVF. Fujifilm website says XPRO3 startup is 0.4s vs XT3 0.3s but wondering about real-world experience and if there's a timing benefit to OVF.

Hello guys, Any hint how to turn on framing guideline and horizon level in OVF? I selected them in setting Screen Setup/DISP. Custom Setting/OVF In framing guideline I selected grid 9. Checking OVF and neither framing guideline nor horizon level is displayed. Am I missing anything? Regards, Max

Hi all, First post here. Hope some Fuji users can help - any questions answered will be helpful - thanks in advance. I currently shoot with a Nikon D90 and 50mm prime for street photography. I really want to switch to Fuji. I went to check out the Fuji range and was initially considering the X-T20, X-T2, X-Pro 2. (All with 35mm F2) After putting the EVF to my eyes for a minute I felt kind of sea sick, Ive never looked through an EVF before. So I am left with OVF as the only option. This leaves the X100F and X-Pro 2 as my only options. 1) I wear glasses - and found the viewfinder very small on the X-Pro 2, the OVF is also quite unusual to use. Does anyone else find it difficult to use (glasses wearers?) Is parallax an issue here? 2) I see the X100F OVF seems much bigger and clearer, do users find this? 3) Im concerned to buy an X100F as the fixed lens may be restrictive - I know it has crop modes, does the OVF adjust to the crop mode selected - or only the frame lines? 4) Should I wait for X-Pro 3 before buying X-Pro 2? (either because X-Pro 2 prices may drop, or because they may improve the OVF on X-Pro 3?) 5) I know they are different cameras - but would you get an X-Pro 2 over an X100F? I like the X-Pro 2 more aesthetically (doesn't mean its better in practice) Thanks, Darren
