  1. Can some kind soul(s) who own the T2 post some downloadable, full resolution, low light and high iso SOOC's ? I'm investigating if getting the new sensor in one of it's 3 packages is worth it or not. I'm a JPEG heretic who often ends up taking event pics in very dark conditions. I very much dislike the excessive smudging of the X-T10's noise reduction, I have found ways to improve the images by boosting microcontrast with various sharpening techniques. But the few images I've seen that are confirmed SOOC and high iso in low light, do look promising, even usable up to 12800 whareas the t10's are _barely_ usable @ 6400 Thank you very much for your time! Edit: Please also state your NR level! preferably @ -4, and use whatever Film simulation you wish. Also turn of the grain effect. Edit2: I'd prefer wide angle shots as these are generally sharp across the frame and better reveal the NR smudging..
  2. Hi, sorry if this is a repeat post. I'm new to the X-T10 and was wondering if it's usual to have a LOT of noise/grain in the EVF and LCD in lowlight/dark conditions? I was hoping to photograph the moon last night, but could barely see anything on the screen or in the EVF when trying to compose the shot due to all the noise. Is this normal for the X-T10? I realise it probably boosts the gain up in lowlight conditions, but it made it pretty impossible to focus or frame anything at all unless I half pressed the shutter release. It's a lovely camera, and this is gutting if this is the case and not a faulty model as I love night photography.

  4. Thought you all may be interested in seeing some super low light photos. I was using the 23 F2 but wish I had the 1.4 in this situation. (I used the 16mm 1.4 on the wide shots of the stages). I still think the camera managed the noise well. ...noise reduction in PS. Low Light Festival Portraits Majority of the photos were shot at 6400 and above. 1/3 of them were at 12800 - all handheld with no flash Obviously they wouldn’t be good for printing but I think good enough for the web. note: if you want to pixel peep first select the photo so it goes into the light box slideshow. Photos were exported from LR at 2000px long edge (not full resolution). Note note: some of you may know how to describe this better than me but an F2 on a crop sensor is equivalent to approx 3.2 on a full frame camera .. as well as lenses you also have to do the crop calculation on the F-stop is that correct?
  5. I know most of you think the EVF doesn't lag in low light. And for the most part I agree, the EVFD gets more noisy but the refresh rate still high. But I shoot with a flash in low light, so I turn my exposure preview off. So try this on your XT1s and see if you get the same lag I get, set the lens to f8, go somewhere relatively low light, and then half press the shutter... Can you see the lag? The only way for me to get rid of the lag is just to mash the shutter and not do the half press. I don't like shooting like this because it feels like I get a slight shutter lag, compared to half pressing the shutter and waiting for the right moment (I use AFC with AF button set to AF and the shutter release set to exposure metering).
