  1. I just bought an X-T2 and now use it for my work next to my Canon 5D mark III bodies. On my Canon I am used to a workflow like this: 1 - take a picture 2 - view the image on the LCD on the back in INFO mode; so I can check the histogram and the blinking highlights (if there are any) This workflow is important to me but unfortunately I am not able to do this with my X-T2. It seems that the only possibility to view the picture on the LCD screen is a full screen image on the LCD without any information like the histogram or highlight blinking warnings. To see this information I have to press the play button after every single image I take (and make sure that the INFO screen is displayed then). So my question: am I missing something? Is there a setting to make it possible to show the picture with all the info on the LCD screen directly after taking a picture (instead of only showing a full screen picture without info)? Thanks!
  2. Hi folks, after updating X-T1 FW to 4.20 I noticed something odd. LCD is grey (not completely without power) if I turn camera on with LCD articulated. If I just bring the top of LCD to the back of the camera, or I bring entire LCD to the camera back it works again. Very strange thing is that once I see the picture I can again move it in any position and it will work without any issue. If the camera is powered on with LCD closed I can see the picture on the screen and again, LCD works in any position. No glitches, works perfectly. If I cycle between EVF and LCD, LCD will work ONLY if its top touching the camera. There is simply no logic to it. I will try to record a video of it next morning so you can see. I "updated" FW t0 4.21 and same thing happens. Anyone experienced the same? The eye proximity sensor works as supposed, no problem there. EVF works as it should, no problem there either. It it was faulty flat cable then it would not work in some position but it does. Only not on power-up or EVF/LCD cycle. There are some images so you can understand what the heck I just wrote Thanks! Amer
  3. Hello all! Other than switching "view mode"...is there something I could have done that has caused the rear screen to stop working? I have tried all that I can think of but nothing. Bought through B&H Thank you for your time! -sb
  4. Hello everyone, First time poster, long time reader. I use the EVF on my x-e1 90% of the time and all of a sudden, without a warning, the evf just dies. I can toggle through the (evf - eye sensor - lcd) modes, but when I get to the EVF part of it, I just get a blank EVF. Does anyone know if this can be fixed without it being sent in for repairs? A setting I may have overlooked? Perhaps a magical re-boot sequence? A secret hand shake? What ever. I'll try anything. ***ALMOST anything for you wise guys out there!*** Thanks for any info.
  5. Just wondering if there is any way I could replace or at least remove the smudges on my LCD screen.
  6. I just bought an x-t2 used from a fellow photographer and everything has been great. I was just taking pictures around the house and suddenly I was no longer able to playback images on the lcd screen. Playback will only show on the EVF even though all the other settings are showing on the LCD. Clearly the LCD is fine and its only a playback issue. I have cycled through the viewmode settings multiple times, took battery out and back in, removed sd card, etc... Is there a setting somewhere I may have accidentally clicked that disables playback on lcd?
  7. Hi there, sorry I hope the title is clear enough: Somehow I am not able anymore to zoom into the images (far enough to proper check if the image is sharp) when looking at the pictures on the LCD of the X-Pro2. I must have changed something in the settings, but can not figure out what it is. Does anyone know what could be the reason? Thanks a lot!
  8. What is this blinking red icon on the EVF/LCD? I cannot find it in the manual.
  9. Hi, so I shoot mostly using the LCD, from the hip, and I encountered a program today with my XT1's. Somewhat similar to an old post: https://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/1948-x-t1-lcd-fails-when-articulated/ But my situation is a little different. When my LCD is completely flush, in the normal position against the body, it will be totally blacked out/looking like it's off. I've cycled the 'viewmode' and nothing has helped. I did a factory reset and updated the firmware. But I believe I have a body-to-LCD ribbon short. If I pull the LCD away it will work, but only in a limited range. From angled slightly upwards to completely flat facing upwards to the sky. If it's totally parallel with the body to facing downs toward the ground, the LCD will black out/turn off. I can still take photos when it's like this though. I'm pretty sure it's a short in the ribbon — if I push the ribbon around very gently, the screen will go on and off. But anyway, I would like to put this problem out there and see if anyone has encountered it before. The camera has seen a lot of use in the last 3 years, but no drops/damage. Luckily the EVF works normally and used XT1s are pretty cheap now. Let me know if you have any suggestions, thanks!
  10. Hi, sorry if this is a repeat post. I'm new to the X-T10 and was wondering if it's usual to have a LOT of noise/grain in the EVF and LCD in lowlight/dark conditions? I was hoping to photograph the moon last night, but could barely see anything on the screen or in the EVF when trying to compose the shot due to all the noise. Is this normal for the X-T10? I realise it probably boosts the gain up in lowlight conditions, but it made it pretty impossible to focus or frame anything at all unless I half pressed the shutter release. It's a lovely camera, and this is gutting if this is the case and not a faulty model as I love night photography.
  11. Anybody else has an issue with the LCD showing white lines couple pixels wide from top to bottom across the whole screen? ( like the attached image ) EVF seems fine and images are fine too, seems like an issue with LCD only. as much as i hate it, i think ill have to send the camera to fuji
  12. Hello. While using my X-T3 I encountered artifacts in video mode. With a white balance of 2500 and a transition to the blue spectrum, purple spots appear. Additional settings: 4k or FullHD, eterna picture prof, S tone -2, iso 640, diaphragm 2.8-22, DR 400, shutter speed 1\40 - 1\200. Software 3.00 This is evident on dark objects or on a yellow-green color. In the video, this effect is not visible. With atomos ninja 5 this effect is present. I also filmed this on video. Who faced such a problem? What could it be? Video artifact (atomos ninja 5) : Thank you in advance.
  13. Hello, I just recently moved over to the Fujifilm system (originally Canon) and I've noticed that the photos taken on the camera appear a lot darker when viewed and/or imported into a software on PC or mobile. This applies to both JPEG and RAF files. On the body's LCD screen when reviewing the photo after taking it, the composition of the photo looks perfectly good; right exposure, balance, ISO etc. I've looked around online and have adjusted the body's screen LCD brightness to minus 2 but it doesn't seem to help a great deal. I've also made sure that the DR is set to DR100. I'm shooting fully in manual mode so I don't touch the exposure dial either. Does anyone have any recommendations for me? Also not sure if I've provided enough information on this. Please do let me know. Thank you in advance! -Irene
  14. Hi all, I'm messing around with the different options for the view mode (via the viewmode button), but I can't get the setup I want: basically, I want to keep the rear LCD off at all times except when I press the play, menu, or Q button. Is this possible? Is there a custom setting somewhere I'm not toggling correctly? Thanks for suggestions!
  15. I got my X-T2 last week and immediately noticed that the colors in the live preview I saw on the LCD were different from the colors in the EVF. This was most noticeable when shooting in daylight with a lot of white in the image. Seems that the EVF has a very strong and neutral white, almost cold and blue – whereas the LCD on my X-T2 tends to display everything more warmer and whites look much more yellow-ish and dirty. In the attached image you can see how the LCD of the X-T2 compares to the X-T1 side by side and the EVF (shot with fixed white balance). The difference in color reproduction is quite clear. I wouldn't mind much if both the LCD and the EVF would consistently display the preview more blue or more yellow. But having 2 displays with 2 different looks in one camera is quite annoying and distracting. So I wonder if anyone else noticed this or has similar issues – or maybe it's just my model and someone forgot to calibrate the LCD and/or the EVF properly.
  16. Hi, I have difficulty in viewing scenes with my XT-3 through both the LCD and EVF when the sun is very bright sun - the scene appears dark. The relevant parameters that I am using are as follows: EVF brightness: -1, LCD brightness: +3, Natural live view: off (I want a natural view of how the scene looks). In searching for information regarding this matter, I see that some people recommended not using the auto feature, and used negative values for EVF brightness and positive values for LCD brightness; however, this does not seem to help much in very sunny situations. When the scene is not particularly sunny, I see through both the EVF and LCD fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
  17. Hi all, I’m new to the forum. I’ve been using my x-t20 for a year now and I am really happy about its capabilities! There is just one little thing that totally annoys me every single time I use this camera. While using the EVF, my nose moves around the focus point, so damn annoying! I can’t find a way to change this, because I rather use the back buttons to move it around. Please please help me out on this one? Looking forward to your replies!
